Minivans are an unbeatable convenience, emasculating as they are, you wont need one until more kids arrive.
If you want to soften the ride in back, look as custom rear springs. I understand you are on somewhat of a budget but springs would not be prohibitively expensive. By slightly lowering the spring rate and adding new shocks in the rear you can keep the 4Runner and the wife happy.
Coilspring specialties make them. You can work out the details with them. See this thread, most guys ordered longer springs with different spring rates, for offroading, but is sounds like you could order something to fit your particular need.

well guys i went shopping today i narrowed my search to 05-06 sienna xle
saw a few 05-06 sienna xle at decent prices (07 would mean sell the runner)
im very familar with the van my wife wasent but anyways
during my 6 hour search i came upon a few honda's .
now im starting to really like the ODESSEY.
i saw some 05-06 odessey ex-l that were cheaper than da sienna's and nicer. the ride was more sporty and and it felt a little better.
da wife is torn and so am I

I would offer that the Honda transmissions ARE NOT tolerant of neglect. By neglect I mean the fluid. In spite of what the manual says change the fluid every 20k and you'll be fine, it'll last forever. Run it much more than that and you may have a not-so-good experience.

im looking for a 2005-06 sienna or a 2005-06 odyssey
it must have leather, i would like a dvd (u know i'll need one) but i

im gonna trade the solara or sell it not sure

Ford Flex? Right color, wheels etc kinda retro, surf wagon look. Just throwin' it out there... A later Pacifica might be worth a look with the 7/100k warranty. They have no resale and you should be able to get one cheap. Just make sure the warranty comes with it.
