Sold My Jeep...Bought a 4Runner

Sold my '88 Jeep Cherokee - I6, Manual, 3" lift, 32's, it was fun:



Bought a '96 4Runner Limited with 230k miles and it feels better/tighter/more solid than my Jeep! lol Plus, had to have something to fit 3 kids, pull a popup camper...and my wife could drive :car:



It's definitely fun to drive.

Valve cover gasket leaks, Clear coat has faded on the hood...I'm also wondering how to 'convert' the trailer light plug to a 5-pin to pull the camper (but I'll search/post in the main threads for that).

Otherwise...let me know your favorite first mods and I'll work on adding them

I'm going to read your build thread - what do these mean in your signature "OME 882's w/ topouts, OME 90004'?

I might reveal my noobness...but that's how a fellow learns, right?

Started reading your build...OME = Old Man Emu I'm guessing?

Yup, original engine. My grandfather bought it new in 96, I got it right at 370k. OME is old man emu. The 882's are the springs (650#) and the 90004's are the front struts, also old man emu.

Yeah my build isn't much, pretty much just a buncha hopes and dreams, then running out of money, then changing plans, then just a shitload of pictures. hope you enjoy. let me know if you have any questions.

That's why I picked the name I did for this site LOL I learned just from my Jeep I could spend as much as I wanted to on it (and Jeeps are pretty cheap to mod) . The runner might be a little delayed...but it will get done.

I haven't done much with an independent front...was it hard doing the lift on the front?

Your screenname fits the bill perfectly! The lift on the front is verrry simple. There should be a few tutorials around here.
