South Carolina get together?

Trust me, there is something for everyone at Gulches. Its a great time no matter how many ppl you have, but with the smaller groups its just easier.

Gulches is an easy drive from SC or GA, and there are always plenty of others there so there is no real danger of getting hopelessly lost or stuck, the owner, Skip, Even has his own recovery vehicles just in case.....

Really glad I found this thread, my Roomate and I are headed to gulches on Saturday (6/22) he has an '85 and I have an '08. We live in charleston anyone trying to caravan up , get at me, we're trying to make this a way more regular weekend trip, we also have a campsite reserved and the park fee is like 5$ anyone who has any interest let me know. Feel free to post this on other forums.

I would be interested in this. I have been viewing the gulches website for a while now. It's about a 3.5 hr trip for me but I could leave at 6:00 am and be there at 9:30.

Hey I apologize for the lack of response I thought I had subscribed to this thread but apparently not. Gulches is an amazing place, tons of technical trails that are do-able without a locker, I only needed a locker in a couple of spot but used it as a precaution in real tight areas as not to swing the rear out and get any body damage. I was incorrect about the prices, its 25 for each vehicle, 5 for additional people, 10 for each campsite. We definitely need to do a rendezvous there soon also any of yall who have been to gulches, how are places like uwharrie or nc similar?

things to do for next trip:
build rear bumper
t-case skid
cross-member reinforcement
diff armor

I am with a landcruiser group (ih8mud.com) that goes to uhwarrie a couple times a year. I will post up here the next time we are going up there. I know for sure we are going in September 2013, not sure of exact date. Keep this thread alive with your updates! Let's try to setup a weekend trip to Gulches, its an easy day trip from Charleston, I have made it from Charleston to Gulches in 2.5 hours flat.

hope you got some new mud tires haha, we're about 18 inches above normal on rain this year. My buddy went out a couple fridays ago and had to winch over an a berm that wasn't even really a foot tall just because when he would climb it the front end would just slide back down lol. Even gultches is closed this weekend and there's only a chance of rain.

Holy crap man! If Andy couldn't do that in his solid axled, locked, dual cased, beast 1st gen on 37's, good luck to everyone else. That dude's blue Taco ain't no joke either. We've seen that beauty in action.

I was wondering what the interest would be for a South Carolina get together would be? I know most of our state is more of a biggest tires possible sling mud kinda scene but I think we can get enough people together to make this happen.
