A few of us went to the Socal recovery clinic held on by the FJ guys. A great time with some very useful instruction..

Most were taken by my co-pilot Tony:

Hey man, I'm just glad I didn't have to get pulled out of anything. Had a great time, aside from the sunburn. Now I remember why I always wear a hat when I go to the range. The top of my head is burned and it freaking HURTS!

Dude. That winch. Sucked. Every time I would get the cable back over so it wasn't wrapping over the top again, it would slide on the drum and there would be spaces so I'd have to start over again. Even the guy said he needs to cut the top of the bumper off there so you can get your hands in there.

How'd you guys fair on scratches?

I ended up with a fairly long one on the back passenger fender.

I guess it's broken in now...

I got quite a bit. I didn't have time to wash my 4runner yet. I am so busy. I probadly leave it dirty until next weekend for Hungry Valley run.

I'm with Tyler, i've not had a chance to wash it yet. I barely got the dirt wiped off the center console! I reached for the back seat yesterday and put my hand on it. When I lifted my hand up, there was a handprint in the dust on the seat!!!

Hopefully I'll get it washed tomorrow.

Any chance of it buffing out, Rich?

How did the Sport Edition handle the trail? I'm thinking of replacing my SR5 (soft roader) for a Sport.
