Taco tunes makes the best, but idk if they have made a model that fits the 5th gen yet. They are pricey though, but built to last just like the 4Runner.
 
I would just like to make sure these aren't for 4th gen. Otherwise I'll do it myself with MDF and it'll take longer. If they do fit 5th gen, then what the hell its only $14 wasted.

I think you will find these too shallow...i.e. you will need spacers to move the speaker out enough to avoid the window glass when down. I just used the original speaker as a base, and had no problems.

They really do look like the same ones that the OP linked. They look like the correct shape but I think I trust Crutchfield more than eBay. Easy enough to make yourself if you have a decent jig saw. I used MDF but it's not the greatest for door installs. If moisture gets to it, will probably swell up and need to be replaced but I did not have any hardwood and just wanted to get it done. I used 5/8 inch and have enough back and front clearance. I'm pretty sure 3/4" works as well. Just make sure to check the depth of the speakers you are installing.

The frames on the stock speakers are flimsy plastic so I feel that a solid wood mounting bracket will produce much better sound (especially if you crank it up).

On my browse it doesn't say "does not fit" it just say Lexus and Toyota...Richard

So you used one of the worst wood products out for any kinda moisture yet live in a moisture rich area....interesting.

My time is worth more than going to a store to purchase wood to come home and "craft" something when it can be bought and delivered to my door in a day for under $15.

To the OP you may just have to experiment and return if it doesn't line up. Purchase from a reputable place not on ebay.

Yah MDF was a poor choice but it's been 2 years and still holding up well. I did coat it with some clear polymer coating. In any event, it is a lot better than any $15 cheap plastic mounting base. Hardwood is expensive and hard to find in Hawaii so MDF is what everyone here uses.
