Speaker Question

Good morning everyone. I have glanced through the 3.5 Kappa board, however I can't seem to find the answer to why there are 4 wires going to the tweeters.

I just picked up a pair of the speakers below, but now I am starting to second guess myself. Will these work or will I have to return them?

One set of wires feeds the tweeters, the other set is a pass through to the mid-bass drivers in the door.

It appears these speakers really didn't work and the guy talked me into buying a set of tweeters, not going to lie the system sounds horrible. So I popped off the grill and it looks like they cut the two wires going to the other speakers. Can others confirm that those wires go to the mids in the doors?

It appears these speakers really didn't work and the guy talked me into buying a set of tweeters, not going to lie the system sounds horrible. So I popped off the grill and it looks like they cut the two wires going to the other speakers. Can others confirm that those wires go to the mids in the doors?

If you unhook the dash speakers, there is no sound in the doors.

What stereo system do you have? Basic system, 100% sure the other wires go to the mids in the doors. JBL Premium with separate amp, the other wires go no where. Toyota just uses the same harness regardless of which stereo you have.

I have the upgraded JBL with navigation. And yes, unfortunately I didn't read the entire thing.

Yes they do; "see the diagram below":



The arrows show the wires leaving the L & R dash tweeters and connecting the speakers in the doors! If they cut the Lt Green and Blue wires at the dash, the door speakers will not work.
