What do you think the cost of paint would be for those items (bumper ends and fender flares)? And as far as priming, would I be able to use primer from a spray can? Im guessing not, since its not polyurethane

you can probobly pass with a pint but i might be wrong the site i was checking out was 45$ and another 15$ for a pint of clear coat. i would go with primer, base coat and clear from all the same brand/type thats just me. im no proffesional though. "combatmedic" here sounds like he has more knowledge than me

Pint would be plenty for fender flares and bumpers. The work is all in the prepwork. You can drop 100dollars a pint on HOK (house of kolor) paint and do 0 prep work and it'll come out ****ty. Or you can spend a few days sanding, wetsanding, and somemore sanding, and use a lower quality paint, and it'll come out gorgeous. I normally do 2 layers of primer, base coat, top coat, 2-3 coats of clear. In black, its a friggen mirror.

Awesome, that's what I was needing to know. I've added picking up one of these and painting it myself to the list...I've always wanted to get into painting vehicles.

I'll also be purchasing the hood in a few days from my local certifit (right down the street). I'll take some pics for you guys. I also paint, I have a compressor in my garage and have been painting for years. I painted my buddies accord and body kit last summer and the wheels over xmas. So if you're in the area, I dont mind painting your stuff for a case of beer

Wow. Thats looks great. Would you be willing to take stuff if I shipped it to you, and then ship it back to me? I would pay the shipping of course. I could do the sanding too. I actually learned how to paint aircraft in tech school for the Air Force, I just dont have access to any supplies or a garage
