Cowlitz County Washington Walmart Parking Lot

Spotted this guy in my neck of the woods. Miles from home. Don't recognize who it is from the 3rd gen section.

Saw this at the last second on the Hoover Dam a few days ago. Think the front end had some work done. Maybe the hood was black.

:hello:

That was me! We stopped for Dam tour and took a drive over the dam afterwards. We're running a Pelfreybilt front bumper and the center of the hood is wrapped in matte black.

Saw in the Courtright Reservoir area yesterday. Had T4R stickers on it so I assume they may post here regularly. Being a fellow photographer I'd love to talk 4Runners/Photos if they are local.

Anyone know the owner?

That was me! We were just on the other side of the trees with our kayaks and kids! Guess my cover is blown running Press Photographer plates ;)

That was my wife and I, and you must have just missed us. We were stocking up on food before heading towards Astoria, and then down the coast to Newport .

Any chance you were in Astoria shortly after that? I noticed a Delica that looks like the one in your build thread.

I believe this is MStudt -even says in his build thread that he'll be in the PNW in mid August.

Dang Mike, too bad I missed you both. I don't live far from where you were. Not a bad looking Walmart eh? Astoria is a pretty town. Hopefully you guys stopped at the Bowpickers Fish and Chips while you were there. Tillamook Cheese Factory is a must see also. The best pepperjack and garlic cheese around!! You need to get some Jacobson salt while you're in Newport. It's the best natural salt in the US!!! They harvest it right there on the coast.

That wasn't me in Astoria. I no longer have the Delica. Now that I know where you'll be staying we'll have to get together. There'a lot of wonderful PNW hospitality, OHV trails, along with many overland manufacturers here such as Warn, CVT, NWTI, Wheelers, Mule Expedition Outfitters, Metal Tech, RiDE etc...You'll love it!!! Just stay away from Madras this weekend and fill up with gas now. It's gonna be a stupid madhouse here.

If you have Facebook, I can send you an invite for the PDX Overlanders group. We do quite a bit around here. Also, there's the NWOL. PM me. Welcome to the great PNW and congrats to your wife for her new job/potential career. You're in Duck country and I'm a Husky but I won't hold that against you!! HaHa.

Haha I knew exactly what they were when I saw them. I shoot at Fresno State and pretty much all the local sports teams in Fresno, so you've probably seen me at some point if you go to any games, or shoot at them for that matter.

Saw this over on 395 North near Mammoth. I think I might have passed by them riding their bikes on the trail. Regardless tons of 4Runners on that side, but only so many modded. Looked good.

I'll shoot you a PM. We should be around your area in about a month or so. I have family in Kalama, and we're supposed to go salmon fishing in a few weeks.

Amazing! I fish the Kalama and the Lewis all the time. "Painted Rock" is the honey hole. We'll see you in a month.

Are you allowed to sleep in Walmart parking lots in Oregon? I'm driving down to California next weekend and as luck has it will be able to stop and see the total eclipse in Oregon but I think the place will be a zoo with everyone down from Seattle and Portland so I think I'll just crash at a Walmart Sunday night.

Some allow it but others don't. It's up to the store managers. I believe there's a website that lists the Walmart's that allow or don't allow overnight RV parking. However, if you drive just about anywhere here in Portland you'll find run down RV's, vans, trucks, cars etc., with "homeless" parked all over the streets. (Not a place you want to park your rig.)

Good luck with the eclipse/symbiosis traffic. It's going to be a madhouse. They're expecting over a million people. It's already backed up for at least 30 miles on 26 and 395. Gas prices are skyrocketing so fill up and carry extra now. You need to be 100% self-sufficient. I'm staying home!

Not sure about camping but fwiw that walmart is not in the greatest part of town. City of Salem is actually allowing free camping in ALL city parks the night before though so you might look into that. Have a safe trip.

Saw these two beauties parked up next to me (I'm on the right) high up on Mt. Princeton in Colorado. I'm pretty sure you guys were the ones that helped me and my lady friend find the dog pack that her dog wiggled out of in a bush on the way down (and we owe you big time beers for that)!

The very last part of the road to climb up to this vista was the 4lo money maker that differentiated the real trucks from the wannabes, so it wasn't too surprising that it was all good lookin' Yotas up there.

Spotted near Emeryville CA. I've seen you around quite a bit the last few months but never got a picture. I work around the corner from where you usually park.
