Squeaky rattling, LCA is fine, but can you figure out what it is?

So I had a squeaky, creaky, rutsty hinge sounding rattle happening in my left front end.

I even wrote a thread asking for advice rehabbing the LCA, I was so sure that it had crapped out, and got some excellent advice!!

I thought it was bushings or ball joints on the LCA, but that wasn't it!

Upper control arm bushings are good.

Sway bar and hardware are good.

This is a good one!

Oh, and it started the week it dipped into the 30s here in Wisconsin, and has been steady making a horrible noise ever since. We have had a solid month of seasonal cold temps here (10 below up to the upper 30s).

Any good Toyota mechanics out there know what it was?

Any guesses?

If squeaks happens on bumpbs/potholes...then it may be the swaybar bushing, another usual culprit is the front end undercover protector/shield...it may be loose

Swaybar is solid too! Good guess! Forgot to say that one. I greased the swaybar and put in a swaybar relocation kit.

A video of the sound would help. You can check your shock mounts.

My lower coilover mounts went and I had a sound coming from them. My coilovers are different in that they are aftermarket and they are heim joints vs bushings but those can go out as well.

Spacer lifts like the one you're running according to your signature put a lot of stress on the components as they are simply compacting the spring and pushing down on the lower components. Nothing wrong with that (i used to run a spacer lift as well) but that would be where I would suspect the issue to be.

Also, I had a very similar sound that was my Lower Ball Joint. I know you say they are okay but I thought that too and then I finally replaced them and that was the culprit.

Check all of your exhaust shields and the skid plate bolt holes. Sometimes they rust pretty good and become loose.

I'd love to hear the answer, as I've been hearing a faint squeaking noise(front right) ever since I changed my struts, springs, and added spacers.

Thinking a little outside the box here but did you end up having an animal find some shelter in your rig?

I had 2 squeaks...aftermarket headlights, the top pointy back edge rubbed the fender =sandpapered the plastic, and the lower front strut eye/mount was rubbing on the LCA mount/twisted in the mount.
Also the fender liners rub, after the Shrockworks.

You got it partly right! Nice!

Part of it definitely was the fender liner rubbing in below freezing temps. The plastic just gets hard and makes an annoying rubbing/scratching noise. I found a loose fastener and that has it fixed for now just by popping it back into place.

The other noise has been brought up for 5th gens.

My front fender liner, when the temps dropped below about 10 degrees, started screeching, rubbing, popping, squeaking, and chattering over bumps.

It sounded like the whole front end was about to fall off.

I lost one fastener, and the other fasteners were making the noises, with the frame amplifying the noises.
