SR5 Gauge Cluster and Inclinometer

I figured I would post this here first. I spend more time on this forum than any other so it's up for grabs to you first!

I picked up a SR5 gauge cluster and an inclinometer. They both work well except the pitch on the inclinometer is stuck. It probably just needs to be cleaned. The inclinometer does have a small blemish, the ruler is hard to see but it's about 1cm in size.

have you tried to turn the lock knob? that suppose to lock one of the gauges from working

The pitch on the inclinometer is the result of someone cranking the knob beyond its range of motion, resulting on jumped teeth on the gearage inside. A simple fix, disassemble inclino, figure out which gear affects which guage and also which direction you need to un jump the teeth on the gear. If you search inclinometer here you'll find a thread I've posted with pics and info.

Anyone want to do a gauge swap on their runner? It's a direct swap and it takes about 5 minutes to do, you'll have the advantage of a tach and an oil psi gauge. All you will need is a new oil pressure sender to make the oil pressure gauge work. The non sr5 models just use a light, this cluster has an actual gauge.

Gauge Wanted

I'm thinking of buying that gauge from you now.
I've got an '84 with the tach and temp gauge out.
Should be a good match. Couldn't see how many miles were on your odo.
Can that be adjusted (I assume no because of laws and such against it)
Anyway, pm me if you still have it.

Yes, you can adjust the odometer. And there's no law against it either. There IS a law against misrepresenting the mileage on your vehicle, but that doesn't matter here because most of us in this forum should have high enough mileage to be exempt.

I don't know about the legality of the odometer. I know that in TN, it's not the mileage that makes a vehicle exempt but the age of it that makes the mileage exempt. You gotta be careful adjusting it though because if you don't put it back together right then you can jack up the speedometer spring and your gauge will be really jumpy.

For 1st gen runners, is the tachometer ONLY included in the SR5 trim? What does the SR5 trim come standard with? Got into a debate yesterday over this

I'm not sure what came standard or came as options. I know that the tach and oil psi gauge came standard on the SR5 trim models. I think the inclinometer, sun roof and rear heat came as an option but I cannot be sure.

You can buy the app... Sounds lame compared to the actual one but it held me over till I found mine

Post up a wanted add in yotatech, usually within a few days or so someone will sell you one. Pirate is a good source too, that's where I found mine.

Smittybilt has an aftermarket clinometer.

Pretty sure the DLX never came with an inclinometer, and the base DLX cluster only has MPH, fuel, and temp gauges. Everything else is just an on/off warning light.

I looked up the smittybilt and thats perfect and what is "DLX" havent seent that term
