SR5 Gauge Swap

Hey I was wondering if anyone has swapped the regular gauge cluster for an optitron that comes with the limited and trail edition.

Please let me know.

Probably easy to do, probably ridiculously expensive to buy the cluster from Toyota.

You would need to verify that the wiring harnesses all match up. Toyota doesn't use a standard platform for building one vehicle. Each version/accessory has it's own wiring harness that isn't included in other versions.

Unless you are an electronics wiz and have some money, leave it alone. On the 4th gen clusters (as I'm sure on the 5th gen clusters as well......) you have to carefully look at what options you have (e.g.: XREAS that come with Limiteds) and match them up to your truck. I'm sure basic functions will work, but other information might not. As someone mentioned, the pins might be completely different even if the harnesses plug right in.

NOT that it would be very interesting to see if someone tried it.......... by all means go for it.
