SR5 Question

First off.... HEY.

I'm currently a owner of a F150 but will be making the switch to the 4runner as soon as the prices come down a bit.

But I had a couple quick questions....

Can we get the SR5 with the Navigation?

And

How about the SR5 with the Limited Wheels? I love the look of them.

Thanks,
Tae

The Limited wheels the dealer can put on for you for $$$$ or you can try to find some locally although i doubt there are any being sold yet. Dunno about navigation.....Toyota.com

Nav is not available in the SR5. Also note the gauges are amber. If you want the Optitron gauges, you have to buy a Limited or Trail. This is the major gripe I have about my 2010 SR5. I even told the salesman when I was driving mine that I thought it was silly they used the amber gauges in such a nice vehicle.

IMHO sr5 wheels are much prettier than limited, also they have high profile and won't FSCK the suspension when riding on uneven road.

how easy it is to upgrade the lights?

does anyone have any idea how easy it is to upgrade/change the guage lights in the 10 SR5 to a different color? I would ass_u_me that the color of the radio light cannot be changed with out replacing the head unit, but everything else including the ac lights and other buttons should be fairly easy to access right? I have an SR5 w/ the amber tint as well - I'd love to have some more crisp/brighter lights in the dash. It's a good thing that I didn't know this to be an upgrade "option" otherwise I would have prob spent the extra dough for that alone.

I'm really happy w/ the truck overall - One other very small gripe is the sunroof switch being up next to the front dome lights - I'd REALLY like to have it next to the rear glass button behind the shifter. Just a personal preference. -- I wonder if the sunroof switch and the rear glass casing is the same size and be interchangeable? Not sure how easy it would be to get up under the headliner to pull wire, while still being confident it would lay back down smoothly again. Anyone had any experience doing that?

any thoughts?

thanks

No Nav, but you could fit aftermarket in it for half the cost. if thats a viable option, to some its not and I totally understand.

Wheels I would wait til Fleabay has a pile on there from the bling masters that upgrade. I do like the look of them. SR5 wheels are so so with me, I think 4th Gen Limited wheels are some of the nicest production wheels I have ever seen. but thats my opinion.

Amber gauges rock. had optitron in a bunch of other yota's and never seen what the big gimmick is with it. ? its nothing fancy. the orange is way easier on the eyes for me, one thing I always liked about pontiac was their use of amber over stupid green.

Sounds like you need a Limited for your option list.

I guess I never thought of the gauges in that way before. I do like the amber, and I guess the Opt's are kind of gimmicky like you say. I like the latest gadgets, but couldn't afford to spend another $5 or $6k for a Limited. The main factor for me buying the SR5 was actually the moon roof. If it didn't have a moonroof, I would have been like some other folks here and would be searching the country for one.

The procedure for the gauge swap would be similar to this for the Tacoma,

The headunit on a Tacoma,
How To: Stock HU Color Change - Toyota Forums :: Toyota Nation

Not sure about the headliner on the 5th gen, but if it's like the 4th gen and 2nd gen Tacoma, it would most likely leave a crease, if you only freed part of it and bent it down. You'll most likely need to remove all the side panels and lower the entire liner.
