Most options have been designed with the trail edition in mind. What a sliders are you SR5 guys running? Have you been happy with them? Looking for some protection and also a solid jack point. Aesthetics are also important. Please chime in...

We offer two different slider versions for the SR5, Metal Tech and Out Post Off Road.

I have the metal tech 4x4 sliders. I can say they are very strong and look great too. Mine took a hard hit and were bent up but no damage to the truck. Metal Tech would not warranty them for bending but did give me the option to buy just that one side.
 
Using Shrockworks. Patience will be needed on order timeline but they are a good product.

I run the Rocky Roads with the bump out. Back then it was the only company to make them for the SR5, other have obviously joined in.

no clue how to insert a thread, but do a google search on the site for Metal Tech Sliders. Recent posts with pictures of SR5s with MTs new sliders. I really like mine, but am not a heavy duty rock crawler. These definitely will meet my needs.
 
I have the White Knuckle Off Road ones for the SR5 that do not require cutting the body panel. I really like them, but in all honesty the reason I got these was because I could drive out and pick them up. That being said, John is a great guy to work with and I ended up having him build a set for my FJ 60.

I'm happy with them, but the powdercoat has been compromised and there is rust, to be expected in the NE I would guess. Spoke to my Line-x guy the other week, I am going to remove them, clean them up, drop them off and he will coat them. Ran into a TE with my exact ones coated, look great!

I had white knuckle off road sliders and I am trying to get some cash to replace them with another set of white knuckle off road sliders :D

Only reason i can't use the older set is because I replaced the trim. John is a great guy to work with, one of few, good, honest men that I have worked with in recent days.

Since you are local, I can just meet you up somewhere. best thing is - no drilling and no trimming :) , they use U BOLTS.

No photos handy (don't ban me!), but I put on MetalTech's on my SR5, ordered them bare and had them coated by my local shop that does spray on bedliners ($125). Sufficient enough for a step, but don't stick out far enough to rub the back of my pant leg. So far, for me, they're working out awesome.

It's hard for me to tell from the pics in the thread, but did you have to trim/cut your rockers at all to get your sliders installed? Or do they just bolt up easy, no trimming? Thanks
 
I ordered the TE set for my SR5 and removed the rockers. But they do have a SR5 model that can be installed with rockers.
 
Thanks for the info. I think id prefer to leave the rockers as they are. Sounds like that's do-able. I hope to get them put on soon.
