Does Multi-Mode A-Trac provide a noticeable improvement over standard A-Trac off-road.

Do you mean Multi-Terrain Select or Multi-Terrain ABS? A-TRAC is the same on all three packages. Multi-Terrain Select is kind of like off-road traction control. Honestly I haven't used it much and when I did only noticed a slight difference.

- aesthetically, the Can SR5 has a similar trim package to the TE which I like, and lacks the fake hood scoop that I personally dislike.

But the hood scoop makes it go faster!! I think it's one of those things you either like or you don't.

for the money, sr5 will last longer (less electronics to break)

There isn't really any empirical data to support this on the 4Runner. You might as well say the same thing about power windows, cruise control, power seats, etc.

I think the biggest question is how much off road use the truck will see. The SR5 is very capable off the shelf for most off road situations. IMO, the rear locker was worth the price of admission because I knew I'd be taking the truck off road and I've run into obstacles where I needed it. Crawl control is pretty neat but you can get by without it. I've never driven an SR5 or Limited so I couldn't say how much of a difference KDSS makes.

Apparently I was talking about the Multi-Terrain ABS and Multi-Terrain Select. I don't know where I got Mult-mode from. That's probably why I couldn't find it in any searches.

Katzkinz looks awesome, I just have to look into the availability in Canada. Have any Canadian's had Katzkinz or another leather seat upgrade done here?

I can't believe the overwhelming support for the TE, I think with the ability to upgrade the seats to leather for about 2K, I'm pretty much sold.
