sr5 w/ leather seats

So i just picked up my 02 4runner, the dealer i got them from said that leather was added on this sr5 since the didnt come with leather???not sure if that is true anyhow.

did toyota put the heater coil in the leater seats for mass production? if so can i pick up a wiring harness somewhere ? if not whats the best option for heated seats MN winters get cold.

a lot of places will add leather seat covers to your fabric seats. Is there wireing for the heating element coming out of you seats? a heating element can be added to seats

My '97 was an Sr5 with leather. Not sure if the dealership did it or not, but it looked factory correct (i.e. not leather seat covers)

There are lots of 12v seat heaters on the market and they are pretty cheap. The challenge is installing them without damaging the seat skins.

I also have a '97 SR5 with factory leather seats. I'm pretty sure it was an upgrade option. My '02 is also an SR5, but has cloth seats.

Also, you can get some nice seat covers with heaters built-in from Wet Okole. They're not cheap, but many regard them as the best fit for our 4Runners. I think they'll send you a few fabric/color swatch samples, too. Search the site for pics if you want to see the fit for yourself. I think they look pretty good, but my front leather seats are pretty worn.
