Stabilization / Preventing Vibrations on an iPad mount

I bought a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H0E84KW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00H0E84KW&linkCode=as2&tag=dtrimble-20&linkId=FQEVSW3JW4SLNLHI">Joy Factory MagConnect Carbon Fiber Seat Bolt Mount for iPad Air (MMA205)</a> and installed it in my 4th gen. It's an awesome mount. Swivels as needed. Easy to assemble. Easy to collapse/fold down the stand so it tucks under the seat. And it bolts effortlessly to the seat. I use the iPad for offroading, terrain, mountain, etc. maps, etc., and when the onboard nav doesn't have sufficient detail.

Not surprisingly, there's vibrations while the car is moving that make the iPad bounce around a little. I tried a couple other mounts in the $30 range and returned them because they were so bad. The quality, durability, and construction of this mount is FAR superior (at this price point, it'd better be). And the amount of vibrations is greatly reduced. That said, it's still a carbon fiber mount bolted to the seat...there'll always be some vibrations.

As installed, the base of the mount connects to an appropriately shaped heavy duty metal bracket, which attaches to the front left bolt of the front passenger seat. (You have to remove the plastic cover, of course.)

Any suggestions on ways I can strengthen it all so as to minimize movement of the ipad attached to the mounting pole? Any tricks or hacks?

Its all about triangulation. Try to creates a piece for the arm to rest on, i would personally get a long thin piece of metal tubing, notch it. and then either jb weld it or drill a hole through the tube and throw a thick rubber back though the tube and the arm.
