Starter Relay

"LOCATION: The relay is located in the No.1 junction
block on the driver’s side."

I'm feeling stupid. Can someone run out and take a picture of their starter relay? I'm trying to identify it on my 3VZE 91 4Runner.

Nothing on the box identifies it. The Haynes book doesn't even cover it. As you can read above, the FSM was less than helpful.

I'm sure you could do a google image search and find a picture of it. All I would do is ask you what year your runner is and do the same.

The no.1 junction box is behind the driver's side kick panel.
But the starter relay is usually in the engine bay fuse box.

The starter relay should be in the engine bay fuse box, as fourwd1 mentioned. In fact, I think it says it right on it, or on the lid (don't have my manual with me, and I don't feel like running outside-LOL!).

If you mean the EFI relay, it is at the box on the passenger side of the engine bay. Pull off the black plastic cover, and it is a metal topped relay. I replaced ours awhile back, as it was causing issues.

I'm honestly not as stupid as I sound. This is what I am looking atand no where does it say starter.

Here is what I get on google images as well. It shows me what a relay looks like, but not where it is located.

Juat to make you feel better, or myself not that bad, there are lots of variants of 4Runners. Mine is an LN130, with a 3L motor, and the motor bay fuse box does say "STARTER" but its place is empty. (It's there for gasoline motors it seems)
Some manuals say it should be on the passanger side on the motor bay, some say it's on the junction block #1, but I've been unable to find it and it's starting to fail...
