In all honesty, I don't know if I had the vibration or not but I think I did, to let you know where Im coming from I had 2 Pathfinders and they had slight vibrations in the wheel and in the gas pedal, nothin that would make you Lemon Law the vehicles but I just accepted it and took it as normal, now when I test drove a V8 Limited 4Runner I did not notice any vibration and then when I bought a V8 Limited from another dealer, it had 3 miles on it when I got it and had no signs of any vibration.
I was already 5000 miles into my 4Runner before I was like alright whats the vibration problem.
Now after several thousand miles, maybe 6-10k and reading owners post on clublexus I looked into the vibration problem further and realized that I to did suffer from the dreaded vibration at certain rpm's but I think I was driving either under the 1700-2500 so called vibration range or above it.
Now at 15k I think it vibrated out, even in my dress shoes I don't feel the pedal or the wheel vibrating and every thursday when Im dressed for my meeting I always take notice on the drive to see if I feel it and for the past several thousand miles it has vanished, from being a dealer tech and just having general knowledge about cars and talking with other techs at the Toy dealers I think the truck just needs time for everything to break in and vibrate out, their are many car related issues that just need some mileage to disappear, on a scale of 1-10, my 4Runner was a 6 or 7 when new, now I can say it's a 10.
Give it time and it will work it's way out, my clunk problem is 90% gone, I've driven more then afew cars, newer cars and noticed vibrations here and their, I had a 2000 GLE Maxima, it always vibrated
my 03 ES300 has a slight vibration in the wheel similar to the 4Runner, I actually thought all cars had it to some extent, the wheel is attached to the powertrain components.
Im more laid back when it comes to minor issues but it might have something to do with my friends who still insist on driving domestics, I drive my car and just change the oil, my friends are always telling me about the cool cars they just test drove or got as loaners cause their car was in the shop again for repairs, my friends Navigator has had every electrical part replaced and then some but he gets free maintenance and detailing and the dealer treats him well and he loves the LS V8 loaners, my other friend has an Escalade that likes to take rides on the flat bed, the truck is perfect then it just does not start, they get it to the dealer and he gets a call, it's started right up
the Escalade is on it's 2nd trans cause GM only filled it with half the amount of fluid so he burned it out going up hills
The domestics are lacking in build quality but the Lincoln and Caddy dealer really know how to take care of their customers, the caddy dealer here just offered me all included maintenance til 50k, tires for the life of the vehicle, and free oil changes for myself or anyone in my family
