Steering Wheel Audio Control issues

So, I have a question for those out there with a 2010 4Runner. My Steering wheel audio controls seems to have gone haywire. When I push the audio volume up button, it actually turns my radio down. When I hit the audio volume down button, it also turns my radio down. Same issue with trying to change tracks on my ipod. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be a wiring issue?

Hi Zero...,

Pull the 30A AMP fuse from the main relay/fusebox under the hood and leave it out for a full four hours. This will RESET the head-unit's Hard drive (Processor) and should resolve the problem. If it doesn't you may need to update the audio system firmware to a later version. Rgds!

Having the same issue on my 2010 as well. Did this solve your problem Zero62? Will doing this reset all my presets?

Hi skel,

This is a common software 'glitch', like when windows informs you that... "This program is not responding"; not exclusive to Toyota/entune. Yes, a reset will cause you to lose your 'presets' but in return should give you back a 'full functioning' audio system.

Cheers
