Steering Wheel Cover

I haven't seen this done before on this forum so I just wanted to share some pictures of what I've been doing the better part of the last hour.

I used about 70' of 1/4" paracord. I'm not a fan of the red personally, but for now it's what I had and will work. It should hold up well, and since the leather was starting to wear pretty bad, i figured it was more unique then a steering wheel cover. Thoughts?

The trick to this is wrapping it around, then getting it tight. I just did it like the forearm curl at the gym. You just keep twisting it forwards through the whole steering wheel. Keep it tight though or it will annoy the living hell out of you when you're turning.

Anyone have any ideas how to do the rope handle in the trunk?

Well. If anything you have plenty of 500 cord to get you out of a bind.

Ive done a flashlight and bracelets in the past...youtube offers a plethora of different types of weaves and its all very simple stuff.

Wayyyy too long! But I was waiting for a buddy to drop off a 6point socket for my rear diff fluid change, and had some laying around. Took the better part of an hour though.

How did you secure the ends to keep it tight?

I gave myself about six inches from where I started on the bottom, and then did the whole thing, and when I got to the end I started twisting it all to make sure it was tight and close, then tied a square knot behind it. It's tight and isn't slipping.

The reason I did it is because the leather on my steering wheel was starting to go and I didn't see any ones I liked at the store. Plus this is much more useful is anything ever happens, lol

I don't like the red, but I like how it feels. Its grippy but doesn't tear into your hands because they're tight together. I'd love to see some of you guys do some designs in yours though. That'd be sweet
