Steering Wheel / floor buzz vibration

Hello,

I've noticed that my 4runner (181,000 miles) has an odd vibration that seems to be connected directly to the RPMs of the engine. I feel this in the steering wheel and in the floor from my feet, upon acceleration from a stop. I've read on a few other boards it is normal, others say it is not. I can't seem to find anything on this board though. Anyone else have this issue. Known cause? Its not horrible, but is annoying. BZZZZZZZZZZ

I had this... I just got my allignment and tire ballancing redone and it went away...

Balance the tires, check the alignment, and motor mounts first and see if that fixes it.

For the buzz/vibration. Check the heat shields under the muffler and cats. Once they break free, they will vibrate to no end. You can fix them with washers or just remove them. Hopefully this is your issue and not motor mounts or something more serious

Had similar symptoms to yours and the biggest fix was replacing the old LCA bushings. Upgraded to poly bushings which made a huge difference.

I would guess it is your ABS accumulator pump. :wave:

This is going to sound crazy...... Like I said before, the buzzing was directly connected to the rpm of the engine. After reading some threads about cheap power upgrades, I saw removing the charcoal filter from the intake helps throttle response. So I removed it. And I can say it was dirty and I have to believe it was robbing power from the engine. Oddly enough, the buzzing is gone. If anyone else has been experiencing this odd buzzing, please try removing the charcoal filter. I should mention my rig is a 4.0 V6. If the buzzing goes away for you too, please message me.
