Steering wheel shake with wheel spacer and m/t

I just put on 1.25" wheel spacer to clear my calipers with some 255/85/16 tires.
Now at 30-40 mph the steering wheel starts to vibrate.
Any suggestions on how I can pin point or fix this prob.

Lug centric or hub centric wheel spacers?

Welp, I'm guessing you put on lug centric spacers. Switch them out with some hub centrics and your vibrations will be gone.

Either that, or you didn't torque your hub centric spacers correctly. Torque spec is 90ftlbs

2x on this. What band of wheel spacer did you use?

I recently put on some wheel spacers and have discovered a similar problem. Do any of you have a link to some hub centric wheel spacers that you would recommend?

Spidertrax will solve your issues. or another option is to switch to aftermarket rims from what I understand that are lug centric

i have 1.5 hub cen and mine will still vibrate a little bit if i dont get the wheel centered and torqued evenly. mine is actually doing it right now because i didnt get my driver front on like i should have. i only know its the driver front because its the only one i took off.

I have vibration in steering after wheel spacers added

I had 1.25" wheel spacers installed today and immediately noticed violent vibration in the steering wheel at 50 mph. I went back to the garage and told the installer. He removed the Front spacers and i retested and verified that the vibration was gone. He said he would order hub centric spacers for the front and all would be well. My question is...do front and rear spacers need to be replaced? If he mistakenly order bolt centric wheel spacers, can they damage the rear wheels?

For everyone with vibration what brand are you using? I have had my Spidertrax 1.5" on and off twice....not one issue.

Same for my G2 spacers, removed many times with no issues.

Don't buy junk. Buy once, cry once. It's only your life riding on the hunk of low-bid Chinese aluminum and steel studs.

Just so everyone is aware, a decent set of aftermarket wheels with the desired offset can be had for only like $150 more than a good set of spacers... even less if you are willing to accept a little more weight.
