Stinky air conditioning

So, my air conditioning is stinky in my 2002 4runner. I have tried the stuff that you spray into the intake vents with no luck and FWIW my drain hose is not blocked as far as I can tell. Each time I run the a\c and then park, it leaves a nice puddle of water underneath the truck. Does anybody have any good info on how to remedy this? Thanks in advance!

I have used the fancy (& expensive) equipment sold specifically to treat AC evaporators but the Lysol suggestion in the video makes sense. The real solution is to continue to run your fan after you have shut off the AC to dry off the evaporator fins before shutting off your 4runner. PITA..... Also, throw a couple of sheets of Bounce under the front seats and change them every month or so......

Like was already mentioned, shut the AC off a minute or two before you shut the car off, but keep the fan drawing in outside air to help keep mildew from forming.

This took me maybe 20 mins. No more stinky stale AC.
