Stock HU playing deleted files from USB

I've had my 2012 4R since January this year and had no issues playing songs from the USB drive. I also had no issues deleting and adding songs until now. I deleted a bunch of folders and added new folders. However, now the HU is playing songs from folders I deleted. When it plays a legit folder it displays the folder name and plays all the songs in that folder. When it plays a folder I deleted, it shows "de ###" and plays songs in that folder that used to be on the USB drive. I tried removing the USB drive, turning the HU on and off, then putting the USB drive back with HU off, but it still "sees" deleted song folders and plays the songs :ybrick: Anyone knows what the heck is going on with my stock HU and USB port?

USB Drive mabey?

sound more like your USB is jacked up. Grab another USB, put some audio files on it and try that out. Flash Drives can do weird things if their bent or exposed to liquid or magnets.

Wired but it must be the USB drive not the HU or port. As you know deleting does not mean removing so I would format the drive to really delete and again copy the song you want back to it.

When you delete songs from the flash drive you also need to empty the trash on the computer before removing the drive.
