Did a search but couldn't find the specifics. How big are the front, rear, and where is the amp powering them and what is it?
Stock speaker sizes for 06 jbl system?

This is what i know for sure, front door mids are 6x9, rear door mids are 6.5, sub is a dual 2 ohm 8", center should be a 4" or 3.5", the amp is located to the left of the sub underneath the panel. the sub is recieving about 75w peak about 37w rms
the front door tweets and rear pillar tweets should be about 2" now from all me research it seems all the speakers are single 2 ohm. but sub is a DVC 2ohm. there is no amp built in the HU everything is powered by the amp. now there are only 2 channels of signal going from the HU to the amp.
I also know for sure this is the set-up on all 4 gen 2003-2009 JBL synthesis 10 speaker none Nav systems.

Mine was the 10 speaker with NAV and unless they changed them since 2003 models...
Front doors are 6x9 woofers with 2.5 midrange/tweeter up high.
Rear doors are 6.5 woofer only.
Center channel is the same 2.5 as the front doors.
Rear D-pillars are also same 2.5 as the front doors.
Rear sub is 8" dual coil
The rear door speakers are 2.6 ohm. The front 6x9 is 2.9 ohm (I'm guessing it's higher so it can run with the mid/tweet as one channel. I don't know if the sub actually has 2 ohm coils or if it also was 2.6 (threw it away a while ago).
The amp/processor should be in the passenger rear quarter panel screwed to the sub enclosure. No idea on the amount of power the amp is sending per channel (I've wondered that myself)...but it can't be that much. All 4 of the door woofers I pulled out said 20 watts on the back. :sleepy:

If I wanted to just replace my stock 6x9's up front should I replace them with 2 ohm?
2.9 ohm seems like a funny size that is half way between 2 and 4...
