Success? Anyone? Ideas?

Have 03 SR5 no factory fogs. It does have the plug ins hanging in bumper. Found some on e-bay. Bought them. Reasonable price. I have searched this forum and there are some threads on this, but none ever reach a conclusion.

Possible solutions? Plug them in and they work when head lights on (may need to add relay) or there is no power without the new signal switch, light switch?

solution 2 is find correct signal, headlight switch and install. How difficult is this? Anyone done this?

Solution 3 run power to them and separate switch all together. Have seen people use switch from FJ with light icon that appears to fit in our blanks.

Any advice is appreciated and thanks in advance!

This really isn't that big a deal. Just would be nice to have them. Seems no one likes this subject or I am missing something in my searches.

I'm not sure about the 4th gens, especially an '03, but I installed an OE (made by Hella FOR Toyota) set of Hella MICRO DE's on my '00. The set had the brackets for the 4R and the lights plugged into the existing sockets as my SR5 was prewired. I had to install the supplied rocker switch and tie into the wiring bundle in the steering column. I may still have those instructions but I'd bet good money the wiring is different on your '03.

You can wire them up with their own independent relay. Just be sure to use a source that's not hot full time.

How reasonable was the price? I'd like front fogs, might install a set of Hellas I've never used, but I park a lot in public lots where aux lights tend to disappear along with a chunk of bumper.
