Just curious, but why do you need a moonroof wind deflector? My '97 had some wind noise, and by comparison the '14 is whisper quiet.

Speculation here, but Toyota engineers seem to focus on wind tunnel test performance. For example, the optimum placement of optional crossbars on the roof rack, or the famous vortex generators on the side view mirrors and tail lights. Perhaps the automatic moonroof slider switch, which opens the moonroof to around 4 inches from full travel, provides the optimum wind characteristics for an open moonroof?

Hi Hunyango, (NY neighbor)

I'm not sure of the measurements, but when I ordered mine (at the auto parts store), I just asked for A "Ventshade" sunroof visor for a 2012 4R. He looked it up, pulled it from the shelf and I put it on; it's easy, take a look:

I think it comes within 2 inches of the edges of the roof, you just have to center it. You slide it back over the sunroof 'til the inside of the base is about a half an inch from the very front edge. Then you clean the roof's surface w/alcohol an pad (comes w/it), mark it (w/pencil), pull the paper strip off of the adhesive and that's it, done!

Enjoy!
