couple of weeks ago, it would leak in the passenger corner of the sunroof. i'd usually just stick a kleenex up in there to sop it all up and it would be fine. i finally pulled out a leaf from in there that I assumed was causing the blockage. it has been fine for a few weeks or so, up until today. got in my truck to go pick something up and the entire passenger side of the headliner by the windshield was soaked in water and was dripping down onto my dash.
can't figure out whatever this crap is, but it keeps falling from behind my headliner.
and here's a photo of all the water that was in there. so here's what i did today: I soaked up all that water with a paper towel. i wiped out the entire sunroof drainage area and i cleaned out all the sunroof rails. i used compressed air and tried to flush the sunroof drains, not sure how much that actually did. but i could see lots of small pieces of dirt and debris in the opening of the drain, and then they all disappeared when i hit them with the air. so i guess it did something.
so not sure what i should do now. currently i'm thinking of sealing up my sunroof with RTV sealant because i never use it, and this is becoming a serious hassle. unless i can easily fix this problem, i think that's the solution i'm going to go with. the other idea i had was to pull off the headliner and see if the leak was coming from somewhere else. but honestly i can't see how it could be coming from anywhere but those 1-2 inches of water in my sunroof tray. i just really hope this doesn't stain my headliner.
let me know if you guys have any experience with sunroof problems like this. every sunroof thread i've found generally ends in the OP never finding a solution.
