supercharged 99 limited

No I didn't use that gasket, I got the sc second hand. And can find it on trd. Where could I find it? Or did I not look hard enough on trd. Also just a side note it is surging. It did that before sc install but it has gotten worse any thoughts? Once again I'm a rookie. Haha

I'm not positive if the gasket would cause it to surge, but I know that it would more than likely exasperate that issue. It basically causes a decent amount of air leak because it is a metal gasket instead of the TRD paper/rubber style "o" gasket. Here's a link to the gasket in a few places.

And here it is on Toyota TRD accessorie page:
TRD - Part Detail

Do you have any pending CEL codes that could give a hint to your surging? My gut says it's a dirty MAF(or vacuum leak) or possibly a TPS(not positive a TPS will cause surging, but maybe).

Right thanks for the links! I found out it was the vacuum line port closest to the throttle body on my stock intake tube. The biggest vacuum line. It had no vacuum line going to it. And was not capped off. I got it temporarily capped off but I'm sure that was a big issue. I'm not sure how I fricken missed that big of a hole. I must have been a little overlay excited. Rookie mistake...
See I've replaced the tps and that works for about a week or two then it starts surging again. I'm baffled, I have no clue. The MAF is new I replaced that 3 or so months ago. I'm at a stand still with it I can't figure it out.

How bad is it surging? Video would help.

You need to connect that vacuum line ASAP. That is what is probably causing some of your issues. That line is 1/2" hose and connect to the back of the supercharger I believe, but I'll have to check tomorrow. Don't just cap it off because you probably still have an open port on the supercharger and could cause your CEL's and surging. Please check out the vacuum diagram on page 24 of this install guide and double check your set up. http://www.customtacos.com/tech.old/files/v6_supercharger.pdf

Also make sure you pick up a TRD throttle body gasket. It is a paper material and creates a firm seal unlike the stock metal gasket. That can cause problems with CEL's and boost leakage.

I agree completely, but I would like to know which vacuum line he is talking about. It is either the Fuel pressure regulator line or the drivers side cam cover vent hose. The cam vent wouldn't cause surging, but the FPR vacuum line could.

Alright I'll take a look, she feels so much mote responsive on my way into work and that lean code hasn't come back but I'll 're-look over the diagram. I'm picking up that gasket Saturday from Toyota.
