Superflex sold out

Ordered a Boss setup last night only to get a call this morning the the Superflex coils and the matching 5100's are out of stock until mid June. Little disappointed as I was hoping to have the lift and tires on for Memorial Day. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Just an FYI if you are thinking of ordering and aren't patient, Toytec's website does not warn you of the back order when placing an order. Maybe best to call to place the order instead.

LC coils are like $120+ each from factory, or you could do like most and head over to IH8MUD forum classifieds and start asking around for some used. I'm slowly piecing my lift and got 7.5/8 wraps for $75 shipped from a member over there. The LC tokico shocks can be had for $40 a piece new online.

Pretty much all Bilstein 5100's have been on national backorder since February. I managed to find the front Tundra 5100 set in March but had to wait until this month to get my rear set from Wheelers. Calling ahead is definitely going to be the best bet until later this summer.
 
You will probably find a set of LC/LX coils on MUD before memorial day for far less than the Superflex. Along with getting the black Tokicos like others have said, and save you a bunch of money.

Nonetheless, very thoughtful forewarning to other members. :hatsoff:

That's what everybody said when I wanted a set to level my '14 Tundra but was able to get them in less than a week.
 
How much lift do the LC coils provide. I've read placed about people getting 4-5" out of them and don't want that.

You're lucky then. The only ones I could find were used or way more $$ than they should have been.

Look at my build thread. I have 3" front lift. The rear sits around 3.5" lift. They are pretty much identical to how the superflex work. To keep them around 3.5" lift dont reinstall the cone bump stops. They dont work anyways after the lift. I have mine removed. They are about 1/4" thick so if you leave them in they give you about 1/2" more lift which would be about 4". My coils where brand new also so if you get used they should sag a little and net less lift.

I called summit racing and they said they could get me as many sets as I wanted. My pair shipped same day. Bilstein seems to allocate shocks in a manner that doesn't allow certain vendors their fair share of product.

For buying LC coils what year or model am I looking for. We have a place local that specializes in toyota 4x4 salvage.

Boo Bilstein. Summit is where I got my fronts but when I got those they said they were out of the rears and didn't know when they were getting more. Oh well, I've got them now and Wheeler's pressed in the correct bushings for my 4R so it's all good.

For what shocks they pressed your bushing ? By bushings do you mean the eye ?

I am also waiting on my 5100 tundra and 5100 rear fj cruiser aka long travel. Till mid June.

Also waiting on superflex, toytec said around July.

I got the Tundra 24-100144 for the rear. The size of the bottom bushing that comes on those is incorrect for the 4Runner. We need 3/4" bushings, see this thread How To Press Shock Bushings In and Out. Wheeler's pressed out the Tundra bushings for the 4Runner ones before they shipped them to me. :D

Make sure they are 7 wraps. You can also use the stock rear shock off the same LC. Could get them cheap, this way you can see if you like them after install. Then you can upgrade the shock later if you want. If you dont like it you can always sell the setup on here to get all your money back. But believe me the 7 wraps are awesome with tokicos. They flex like crazy, about 3.5" lift and ride really good with stock LC tokico rear shock which are stiff and they tighten up the soft 7 wrap. Toytec released the superflex to try and get sales from guys doing the LC coil swaps.
