I really love your runner man! May I ask what size tires and lift you are running on here? love it!

the only thing I changed for the suspension is swapping the tokico shocks to Bilisten's.. other than the.. the springs are still the same from the factory..

What year is your rig? got any plans for it?

I would lift it but is my daily driver.. our rigs aren't the greatest when it comes to mpg as is.. if I lift it, is going to make it even worse..

hopefully though next year.. I would have saved enough for the cbi rear bumper and shrockworks front.

Nice man.

I have a 2000 sr5. First things first, i'm gonna lift it 3 inches and put 33's on there. I have 31's now. I'll get a tube bumper for the front and probably a rear tire swing out bumper for the rear. Roof basket, and I'll do most the work interior.

What MPG do you get? I take mine mostly highway and 21. I was shocked but I'm not arguing :D
 
avg about 20-21 on an good day but that's mostly freeway..

on top of all that.. i almost got killed the other day enroute to work.. some retard decided to over take and left me about 1-3 seconds of gap.. lets just say.. if i go left, i would run into the car.. go right and I would end up in the ditch or telephone pole.. on three stay straight and run into the on coming traffic.. so what did i do?

it wouldn't have been an good day.. my c55 against an civic.. german steel vs japanese steel.. we were going about 45 and the civic didn't wanna stop.. it kept going.. i would have made head line news that day..

I slammed the brakes.. felt the rotors, swirl to the right.. and then back to the road.. than within 2 minutes.. same thing happened again.. but instead it was an mini-van..

on top of all this.. got pulled over for talking on the phone even though i was just holding it in my hand.. how many stupid law is there in this state..

Were you on the phone? I see SO many people driving around talking with the phone held out in front of them in their hand. It is the handsfree law, meaning your hands must be free of a cellphone. Not trying to bust your balls, but if you were talking on the phone then you were breaking the law and the cop was in the right no matter how annoying it is.
 
I know right..

I have this in mind..

Shrockwork's Front Bumper (Full Loop) and an cbi rear with tire carrier and jerry can holder..

However.. as soon as I broke up with my lady... I started to talk with another girl... and things between me and her (new girl) are great.. I even let her drove my rig the other day too..

so hopefully my mod money won't be going to dinner/movie date money... if so.. bye bye bumpers..

on the funny note.. when I let the new girlfriend drove my rig.. she was like ' this is really big' lol... I asked her, what do you drive.. an vw bettle..
 
so great news...

out of the years I had been driving.. I never seen the battery light on the dash before up until tonight..

my alternator quit today after 276k miles.. battery is still good but look like is wrenching time tomorrow..

Damn dude, 6'1" and 160lbs? You need to get in the gym. :bigok:

Nice 4runner though, you will lose more in mpg from adding front and rear bumpers like you described than you will notice from the lift and bigger tires. At least it was that way for me, once i added both CBI bumpers i saw more significant hit than after i lifted it. But i still get 17-19 mpg so its all relative. Keep up the solid build.

yeah.. i would like to go hit the gym.. but my lady likes me lean.. plus her vegetarian cookings.. I barely see any protein in dinner lol... is like i have so sneak away with my guys to have an man meal..

thanks bud.. the runner came from a long way.. the other day, I was browsing through some old photos.. and man.. with those silver wheels.. i was like.. what was going on... and then found t4r.. the rest is history..

How much did both of the bumpers weight added?

so the other day.. i saw the battery light on the dashboard.. i though it was faulty... but it wasn't.. the alternator quit on me after 277k miles of driving.. not bad for an oem alternator..

$150 dollars later and she is back up and running.. got to love an buddy that owns his own shop.. Dealer wanted $300 + labor for it... I pretty much hung up on them... and the worse part.. they don't even have it in stock.. fail... Dealerships.. what an joke lol... i don't know why people still go to them when they charge double to fix things..
 
so with this cold storm we been getting this week..

I took the runner to Northstar at Tahoe..

let's just say.. she is dirty.. from bottoms up to the windows.. is all covered it grit,sand, salt and whatever that was on the road..

I have pictures up tomorrow..
