Operation upload pictures before they hit the one month mark is now in effect
Got out yesterday and caught like 2 quick walled in and outs.
Got skunked this AM.. little ones coming in but not breaking until practically ON the sand.
Pic from this morning. Sat and relaxed and watched the little ones.. still a decent way to start the day.
Nice

Beautiful. Amazing how hard it is to have perspective until you see someone on the face. Trying to get out the end of this week/weekend. Report looks decent, but COLD.
Looks sick MattJakobs!!
Was super stoked on the day. Report leading up to it said 3-4, I know that might be Hawaiian 3-4 but definitely considered a bit bigger than that for us East Coast guys haha.
How long are you out of the water with your shoulder?
Its been about two months since the surgery, I just got my sling off and started rehab. My range of motion was horrible at first, barely able to move my arm a few degrees. I can now hit about 90 degrees before the pain sets in. Although I was not supposed to I tried to long board the other day, but it definitely did not work out, and my shoulder is now much more sore haha. They are saying a good couple of months till I will be as close to 100% as possible, but I dont need to be 100% to surf right? haha I hope to be able to start longboarding again by the new year :decision:
Uhhhhh... haha I'll pass for now, maybe eventually
Here's a small one in FL
That's a Starboard Pro that you're on, right? What size is it and how do you like it? I've always found most of their boards pretty chunky on the rails, but I hear differently about the Pro models.
Yes, that is a 2015 Starboard 7'7 x 27. Funny you ask about the rails. I used to be am ambassador for them until I chose to drop them last Spring to get some customs from Infinity. Main reason was the rails!!! Although BC is a fantastic/bomb proof material for SUP's. I also wanted to drop liters without having to lose length.(I like paddle speed)
Starboard(and most production boards) have chunky rails IMO. More SUP than Surf rails, ya know. I cannot say that about my Infinity's. They both have beautifully shaped thin rails that perform incredible on a wave!! I feel like I am truly turning on rail opposed to some rail/fin combo, allowing for tighter turns and more speed. The other improvements I have found on the Infinity's is that they place their fins closer to rail, much more like a surfboard. The boards also sit flatter, way less nose up/tail sunk when waiting for sets. Boards absolutely fly with the channels in the tail section. Dave puts a lot of thought/time in his designs to make sure they perform.(FYI- I do not ride or represent Infinity in anyway. Just think they are putting out some of the best surf sup's on the market) Hope that helps Hepar
If you do call feel free to mention me...just say Dan from FL/NJ. I would recommend getting some extra glassing in the standing area. Boards do pressure ding. Probably would only add a 1lb or so. My 7'8 is about 12lbs but I wouldn't have minded 13lb...I am a little heavy on my feet and sometimes kneel.
Oh and you may want to keep that 9'2 if you decide to go after bombs...that extra paddle speed and weight is crucial. Otherwise dump it!
Love the intel. Thanks a bunch. Definitely won't be the last time I hit you up for info.
Anytime! I have friends sponsored by almost every company...JP,Boga,Focus,Starboard,Infinity, Bic...etc etc and I usually go to Surf Expo once a year. If I don't know I usually have a friend that will.
Be well and Happy Holiday's!!! Hepar :surfer:
