Surfs 89 Surfs 88 - Project Black

[Surf89]

Picked this little gem up. 183k Kilometers. Turbo Diesel. Have nice plans for it. Decals. Check. Softtop. Check. Digital Dash. Check.

Needs a cut and polish and some paint on the roof. That's what is on the menu first.

Not sure about the alloys yet..

After taking weeks to decide I 'think' I will leave the current decals on.
Will use the jamesdean decals maybe later or for a better truck.

So. Its in the shop getting the glowplugs looked at as its a b**** to start in the cold. Picked up a replacement rear bumper. Tnks to poster, childrenofbodom, i bought some sem trim paint today as I saw how grt that stuff works. Thought about bringing it back to stock but the body and paint is not the best. Gonna take the top of and put on my softtop and get it cut and polished and she should look well.

Do you realize that every time you post a 1st gen diesel you cause civil unrest in the U.S? Are those cargo containers in the background full of your Surf hoard? They actually make a nice industrial back drop for the photos. It's really interesting to see the different graphics shipped to your country. I kind of like those rims. They look like the ones on the Matchbox toys.

Hilarious . Yeah I figure it must drive ye nuts. When I get around to putting on the digital dash that I got off ebay in the states onto the diesel turbo I will be able to sell tickets to its youtube premier

Haven't made my mind up yet on the rims but yeah , it does have that dinky, matchbox vibe.

Edit: Thinking about it more I figure I might aswell sem trim spray the fiberglass top as I have the cans and it will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Got a new glow plug button setup so starts now first time every time.

Ordered up a full ome suspension today . Cant wait to get it installed.

Iv got a bit of a revolving door policy.Picking up and selling on ones when I find a better example. Its an enjoyable policy though
