Suspension Upgrade Stock FJ vs. FJ TRD

I have done a lot of searching and I seem not to be able to get a clear answer. After looking at pictures of the stock suspension on the FJ Cruiser-it appears to be a smaller diameter shock. Is this the one to replace the X-Reas with? Or, is the TRD upgrade suspension from the FJ better? The only problem is there doesn't seem to be any used TRD parts being sold from the FJ.

Any suggestions or comments?

People have used both with good results. Everyone, thusfar, has no regrets about using the FJ setup whether it's the TRD or the regular.

My neigbor is offering me his new Fj suspension. He just bought the thing. I have read a couple of threads where people have done this. It appears that it will raise my 08 4Runner slightly, and will be slightly stiffer. Can I hear from someone who has done this. Is it worth the effort.??

V8 or V6

I just added the springs from an FJ to my Runner yesterday. I like the look ....it will look better with larger tires but for me the ride did not change much. I say do it!

I thought it only raised the V8 about 1/2"? It's my wife's daily drive...she won't like it much higher? I have the stock TRD but have not switched anything over.

BTW-if you did only the springs, when do you plan on switching the shocks over?
