Sway Bar Links - Eugene, OR

MStudt Pm sent, Interested in 3rd gen disco front & standard rear! Thanks looks like a great product!

I just got mine in the mail, they are installed and holding up good so far! I've broken 2 sets of the stock ones, I put the 96 rears up front. I have Adco sway bars, they are really beefy and hard on end links.

:brick:Let's hope these are as strong as they look!

New 3rd disco's are available! Pricing is up in the first post.

Mike, I have your older 3rd gen double-disco. Can you explain why you made the change? it does look like it will be much easier to line it up to reconnect compared to having the bushings at the top. Getting that pin to line up can be a real bear.

You just answered why I made the switch.

It's a better design, and makes everything easier to use. This design allows for a larger diameter pin that won't bend. This is also a bit quieter design.

i didnt see it on the first page, but do you have a picture of these installed for a 3rd gen? i have a 3" lift and i need longer ones (atleast for the rear, i havent looked at the fronts yet).

i also searched briefly and i didnt see anything, is there a thread on here that discusses pros and cons for different types of setups? running a disconnect in the front and/or back. not running one at all in the front or rear. id like to read up on it before i decide to purchase these. thank you.

edit:
i did a little more searching and it still appears i cannot find what i am after. all i could find was a poll of how people run their sways, and what to do with the bars when you disconnect them. what i am looking for is a guide to what happens when i disconnect my front, but leave the rears connected, vise versa, disconnected all together, etc. im not new to cars and im aware what sway bars do, but i am new to off roading and i have never owned a solid axle vehicle. thank you.

edit #2:
when you say 'disco', do you mean disconnect?

I don't offer any disco's (disconnects) for the rear. There's no good way to disconnect the rear without causing damage from your sway bar making contact. Adding longer links the rear will help you, and will get your sway bar back to it's intended position. By doing this alone you'll see an increase in flex. You can run disco's on the front, and you will notice some gain from that. But, just adding longer links in the front will also help you out, and should be all that you need.

Shoot me a PM if you have more questions.

okay thank you. i did more research yesterday and it seems like everyone likes something different in terms of setup. so i will have to keep reading up. i did see someone mentioned the possibility of the front discos being hard on the CV shafts, that is certainly something i dont want.

once i do some more reading i will PM you, i know i atleast need longer ones for the rear.

The front disco's can be hard on the front suspension period. If you add disco's you do run the risk of binding your CV's. With the sway bar disconnected your limiting factor is now your shocks. Or, your ball joints once they max out.

Not running a sway has con's, but most don't believe that. Suspension parts are meant the cycle, and are designed to cycle. But, they're designed to cycle with a sway bar in mind. When you take that out your cycles will increase, and so will the distance of the cycle. Basically, your parts will wear faster.

For anyone that might be interested. I've started an Instagram account for my new business that you can follow, and that can be found here. This will keep you informed on everything new going on.

Do you still have those adjustable end links for sale? If so, how can I purchase?

Pictures are from an FJ Cruiser, but the 4runner's are the exact same. He does have a relocation kit installed on this FJ.
