Sway Bar Links - Eugene, OR

apologies if these questions have been answered somewhere in these 36 pages. I'm about to install MStudts's sway bar links:

1) I ordered fronts and rears. Which are front and which are rear? The longer ones or shorter ones?

2) Do the longer bolts go with the longer links or the shorter links?

3) Is it recommended to put the truck on jack stands for this?

it would be helpful if this info was included. i know i had to ask Mike what was what. maybe it would be a good idea if he updated the OP. i know hes been asked a million times. my links didnt come with any sort of instructions or whats what.

The bolts themselves, the shorter bolts I'm assuming would go in the front and the longer in the rear since the rear mounts to the thicker bar itself.

1) Longest bolts go on top through spindles
2) Middle bolts go through the bottom of the front connected to the swaybar in front
3) Shortest bolts go on the bottom link of rear sway bar

Installed front and rear a couple weeks ago. Mike powdercoated these for me. Great product and can really feel the difference. will post a photo of the rear links soon

i dont clean mine (other than getting the hose during a wash), but i do hit the heim with this stuff every 30-60 days, depending on how much im in the snow/mud/dirt:

SILICONE LUBRICANT – Blastercorp

hey will im here, Mike, if i have these links and stock worn out rubber sway bar bushings do you think it will induce a clunking sound on in the front? some how im getting a gnarly clunk and i cant figure out what it is. im procrastinating on ordering the sway bushings, so i need to get on that.

edit:just ordered the sway bushings. hopefully this fixes this, but who knows.

So while installing the front links today, one of the cone washers/spacers rolled down my driveway and into the abyss...cutting my install short. I weed whacked and everything trying to find that damned thing.

Anyone know where I could find another? Which size am I looking for?

Pretty sure - curious that yours already wore out? Poly is usually pretty resilient.

i have mikes end links, but i got lazy and i never ordered the sway bushings (until yesterday). my rig devolped a gnarly clunk after i went snow wheeling right after the endlinks were installed.

ive looked at the sway bushings themselves and they are toast and starting to 'squeeze' out of the sides, so i know theyre toast, im just not sure if thats the culprit of my gnarly clunk.

either way, they need to be replaced, so im glad im finally getting around to it.

OH! That makes sense. That would def be a source of clunk. I just replaced mine with the Prothane units with the greasble zerks fittings on the brackets.
