Thanks man. This weekend is gonna be huge. I probably won't have time to get it all done... anyone recently done a bumper install? I estimate that will take all day, maybe more.

Also, can anyone chime in on what the best order would be for install in terms of sliders, skids, and bumper? Planned order at this time is:

1. TE trim piece (duh)
2. Sliders
3. Skids
4. Bumper w/ winch mounted in and V3 Tritons pre-wired

Based on recent experiences, I should pretty much multiply my install time estimate by 3 to get the actual time I spend doing an install (especially electrical) :D

Skids/Sliders - doesn't matter what order. These are relatively easy to bolt-on.

The TE trim piece will go first in order to do the sliders...I have installed and though it doesn't take that long, you are probably going to want to change the hardware and the bolt/option towards the front. You'll see what I mean when you get there. I replaced all the bolts/washers with stainless steel. The end caps on the front can also be slightly annoying to get on/line up straight.

If it was me, I would do the trim piece, then the bumper. I would assume the front skid ties into the new bumper (bolt together) so skids should go last and the sliders are easy anytime.

You bring up an interesting point. Is all the hardware included from Shrockworks non-stainless?

My ARB bumper took two of us most of a day including the winch install. You don't have to do any cutting with the SW bumper but I'd guess it'll be roughly the same amount of time.

Which skids? I think the SW bumper doesn't fit with the BB front skid unless you do some modifications to the skid that might require a bit of fab work, so keep that in mind. If it's the SW skids then you've got nothing to worry about. I think the order you have listed should be fine. Do the sliders Friday night as they should only take a couple hours then do the skids on Saturday. If you don't need the truck Saturday night, start the bumper install on Saturday and finish it on Sunday.

I can only speak to the trim piece - yes, they are non-stainless. the other bolts for the sliders and skids don't matter as you'll want the strongest bolts you can get - 10.9 or 12.9. Most likely they will provide 10.9 as these are equivalent to Grade 8 bolts.

On the trim, since it is exposed every time you open the door, the stainless looks best and will wear the best.
 
One other thing - anti-seize! Get some and use it. You'll thank me later when you need to take something off.

I hope it doesn't take you a couple hours to do the sliders...should take 45-60 minutes tops. The trim piece will take as long as doing the sliders.

Maybe that's what you meant - trim and sliders Friday night? If I had the stuff now I would start tonight, lol. Buy a headlamp and just start going...:juggle:

Nope, I have no idea what the TE trim piece is. Don't have anything from SW and I have a TE, so it's greek to me. :D

What I meant was more in terms of time budgeting since something unexpected can always come up. For me when I was removing the stock running boards one of the captured nuts inside the frame had come loose so that bolt had to be drilled out. On the TE you also have to mess around with the KDSS lines, which can take some extra time.
 
All my trail armor is in Charlotte. I won't be in Charlotte until Thursday night at the earliest... and right now my bumper is scheduled to be delivered Friday (at the earliest as well).
