WTF?? So did he call you and be like "Uhh... I messed up."?
No.... No he didn't, at all.... I was putting it on and couldn't get the bolts to go, then noticed the seal was messed up... Not happy. He fixed it, with my supervision, and I'll never use him again!

On a side note, anyone know why my passenger side suspension hangs down 1.5" further than the drivers side?? Literally.

Nevermind, now I notice. Could it be because you're missing the weight of the rotors and stuff? What UCAs do you have?

Do you have a bent spindle or something? Could be causing excess toe or something which can kill wheel bearings quick. An out of balance wheel wont cause a failure either, since they are designed to take radial loads, but not much axially, like what would be applied if the toe was off

I don't notice it... I'm guessing you measured?
I tried pushing down on it by standing on it and it doesn't go down any further. I have spc uppers.
Someone at the parts store asked me if the spindle could be bent.... Not that I can see. Wouldn't that cause my alignment to be off and excessive tire wear??

Unless of course your alignment compensates for your bent spindle. You wouldn't see it on the spec sheet because it would have been adjusted for. Especially if it was bent front to back, It would be compensated by the tie rods. Just an idea though. Still doesn't explain the lack of droop, though.

I'm guessing it's something to do with the UCAs, though.

I'm getting squeaking and crap when turning the wheels and the suspension travels up and down again. I need to step up my game but no money to do it with!
Any ideas how to figure out if the spindle is bent.?

This sounds like it could be close. So even though the toe is correct, when the tires are straight, as they turn, the ackerman is off and one side turns further than the other and causes the toe issue.

The only way is probably get a new set of spindles. Not sure how you could measure them well enough to be able to tell if one was bent

Sum*****! I think you're on top something. Damnit

Yeah I know these issues well, I was chasing what I thought was a bent spindle for awhile, which luckily ended up being a bad lower ball joint. But you said you just did your balljoints, so it sounds like a spindle. Maybe time for some spindle gussets if that was the issue, or you know, just a quick SAC haha

Sac!!! Lol

The saga continues. I am trying to find an m12x1.25 thread tap to clean up the mess as the mechanics screwing up my threads also messed up the knuckle threads now. Fml
On a side note, painted my hood. Thinking I may need some matte clear because i can see lines in it.

**** that, I would be headed straight to his shop to have him fix his mess up!

Well, I had to buy a tap and die to fix everything but I finally was able to get the threads clean and put back together. If the wheel bearing goes bad again I'm looking at either drilling out to a larger bolt or a whole new knuckle cause this was the last use for sure!

The saga of Bilcrap... Err Bilstein continues. The washers above my front shocks have completely bent upwards now. I replaced the drivers side with an old washer from my lca's but the passenger side nut is stripped and won't come off. Sooooooo. I hate Bilstein! Leaky, not valved right, not worth a damn! Never buying them again!

A couple additional thoughts about your wheel bearing and shock issues. Wheel bearing wise you're running a funky spacer/adapter/wheel setup compared to the rest of us. For bearing longevity you might want to look into going back to 6 lug wheels. Also you might want limiting straps so you're not slamming your shocks down that hard. They are preloaded quite a bit so even if you're not jumping, some unweighting of the front would slam them down.

The bilsteins have worked fine for me slow crawling through stuff but forest service roads aren't the smoothest and I have a feeling I'll be looking for a better valved setup soon too. Fox/Radflow/Icon/King group buy?

I've been thinking about the spacers. The wheels were originally supposed to be temporary until I could afford rims. Unfortunately that hasn't happened yet. They are also stupid heavy! Add that to heavy tires and my tire/wheel combo weigh in at 108lbs a piece.
I hadn't thought of the shocks having enough preload to push them up hard. That's a good point. That would account for the top washer bending over backwards.
In the end, I need to step up to coilovers, preferably long travel, or ultimately 1 ton axles. I'm just to abusive for anything less. Lol
