Just put some heat to the LCA around the BJ area, don't be afraid to put it on there.You inspired me to cut my LCA's off this weekend for new bushings, greaseable bolts, greaseable ball joints, and SPC UCA's. Cutting those bolts was a b*tch! Angle grinder on the bottom as far as I could then hours of sawzall from the top. Almost done except for one ball joint is stuck in there pretty well, 20 ton press doesn't make it budge at all. How'd you get yours out?
Also with how seized those lower bushings were, holding the LCA in place I can easily see how just replacing the bushings/bolts would allow more lift and a better ride.
They should press right out then. I used a little propane bottle and tip.
