The body modifications continue.... Damn blinker sockets keep burning out due to water so I decided to turn my lower led lights into turn signals. I will be getting an amber lens for them shortly. I also clipped the drl light so they don't stay on continuously while driving. Unfortunately I had to ditch the fog lights too so I think I'll be be making the it gets cleaned.
I like it man. You should plastidip what's left. I bet it would look good. If You Like the plastidip, I Would bedline it.
Even if you don't, I still like these cuts better. Awesome job.
I have some matte black I'm going to do the bumper with, keep the red in the middle. Also going to spray everything under the bumper that you can see so it's clean looking again. I also need to redo my wheels as they are pretty beat up now.

It doesn't flap that I can hear, and it hasn't popped loose either. It's definitely not as strong as before, but really what is actually there if you think about it? Flimsy plastic and a really thin piece of tin they call a bumper. I figure if it fails in an accident i can replace it, with steel! Lol

Since this thread is about flex, and yes I realize this sounds like a dumb question coming from me, but how much flex can you get from the rear with stock arms? What shocks and coils would give me that?
Or, what's the cheapest long travel rear setup I can get? Under $1000.

Not really sure about numbers, but, still using stock arms. Even with 2.5 spacers on stock coils, and non Toyota Monroe shocks( equal to 2.0s). I rarely get a rear tire to come off the ground. I get some of the guys I run 6+ trails with, say this when there behind me.
I have the overland springs now, about the same height as before, maybe + a little.
When on level ground, I don't have much more down travel left in my shocks either.
Hope this gives you an idea. No contact either.

I was thinking metal tech coils and bilstein 5160, just not sure how long to go yet. I've found them in 10", 12" and 14"

I'm about ready for new shocks and still contemplating the same thing. I have about +/- 2" up travel left and I know I'm extending out on the down travel.
Put long bumps on with long travel shocks and see if these OEM arms don't do some weird shit when twisting at that drop.
New shocks then MO money, Mo money, need some more shit. Hell need a new muffler also, can't weld it back together any more.

I'm tempted to make the rear into a radius arm design and run some 14" Billy's until I can afford the ori struts. I'm pretty sure the bushing on my stock arms are shot now, and I have drivers lean something terrible! Lol if only I could afford a big fuel cell and move my gas tank between the rails behind the axle. Eventually...
The painting mayhem continues! Managed to paint the front fender flares. I need another can now but I will be doing the rear flares, pillar up the side of the windshield, roof, roof rack and a stripe on my hood like I had before with plastidip.
That looks EVERY SINGLE BIT as good as I thought it would. Jam up job man. Matte paint, or plastidi?
