Alright so I haven't done much for the last few months except for some small interior upgrades and regular maintenance. But over the last couple of weeks I made some big changes.

This is before:

This is with the new 3-2.5 inch lift with 285's.

It has a little reverse rake but it is exaggerated in the picture. The small reverse rack is good for the majority of the kind of wheeling I do.

I also decided to remove the front valance. I don't know how I like it yet. But good news is that I discovered what I think is an external tranny cooler which is good to see after hearing about another strawberry milkshake incident. I still think I kind of want something to go in the middle to hide some of that stuff. But a bumper is in the future so I might just deal with it.

Let me know what you think!

Not sure if it's just the slope of the driveway or if you're loaded up with cargo, but you look like you're sagging in the rear, a lot. And it looks like you've had a crash without the bumper valance, I'd put it back on or get an aftermarket bumper/bullbar if you have the cash.
Thumbs up for the rims and tires, looks tough.

Nice looking truck man.

If you decide to keep that front valance off and want to get rid of it, I would be willing to buy it from you. PM me if you are interested in selling it.

Yeah the slope of the driveway makes that reverse rake seem bigger but its only a half inch difference or so. I haven't gotten in a wreck withouth the valance on (knock on wood) but I am definitely planning on getting an aftermarket or custom bumper over the summer.

Looks good. Any more pics? Are you using wheel spacers?:snacker:
More pics? Of course. And no I am not using any wheel spacers.

There were a couple reasons I decided to take off the front valance with the major one being that I had a nice run in with a rock on the front passenger side of the valance and it messed it pretty good. If you are good with fiberglass you could fix it but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it. The first picture was before the damage.

And thanks for the compliments.

up till the last pic I thought your 4r was black, haha

is that the valence your 4r came with stock? I had that same lower valence with the recessed fogs on my '97 SR5 when I bought it, but like yours it didn't take to liking rocks being fiberglass and all. I had never seen that lower valence before and thought it was custom.

Nice runner, leave the valence off till you get your new bumper, and the reverse rake makes it look more factory, LOL

Bah! Well that just sucks. I've been pondering the thought of getting one of those new but damn, they cost a lot $$$. Oh well maybe someone else might wanna get rid of theirs later on down the road.

No it didn't come stock. The guy I bought it from had it put on. I think you can get them at burtman industries and I thought I saw them somewhere else once too. And thanks!

Haha yeah sorry. They are expensive for a big piece of fiberglass.

Yeah! another Valance remover!

I think that we should add removed valance and bumpstops as an official mod...

just removing that gives you a great entrance angle for offroading,

I needed all of it when I went to Illinois Gulch last week.

Haha I agree. Simple and easy mod that has a ton of benefits.

looks pretty mean dude. what tires are those?
I got a killer deal on these at Big O. They are the Big O Bigfoot X/T's. I was a little worried about getting an in house tire but the 3 year free replacement warranty helped alleviate that a little.
