Really, your gonna try to bring down something that a few others are enjoying? Even if there is less people who like the the idea and are involved in it maybe you should just let them do there thing and ignore it. Looks like some people are enjoying it for what it's worth. There is a reason many people voted on "option two".

I agree with the previous post - if you dont want to be a part of this then you should just leave it for the ones who are enjoying it.

If you didn't remember, in last months thread, I went through every build thread and posted them up, I even sifted through pictures trying to pick whichever one I thought was the nicest. To help out the OP. I participated. Go read my post again. Maybe you'll get it this time.

A vote was made, a majority spoke and thats the way i goes unfortunatly for you. So please, leave this thread so the rest can enjoy it. T4RCaL has put alot of effort into it, and until I saw your post, I thought things were going well. So just leave, I dont give a sh!t if you don`t like it, or u want it to die, and I doubt anyother supporters of it care about your highly negative opinions either. So please, do us all a favour and don`t kill something that we are enjoying. Simply don`t participate.

5th Genner here!

I would love to nominate a 1st Gen 'Runner, but do I need to go through all 320(!) pages of posts to decide who to nominate? There is no "build thread" sticky on that forum that I saw, so it doesn't make it easy for people that do not visit there often.

Last month, I read through the threads and voted...for Clownmeat. Despite the fact that Adio3x is a 5th Gen bud, and I love his ride. Clownmeat is on another planet with his Mods!

I'll wait until the 1st Genner's post up their nominees- since they are the experts on their forum. Then, I will read the threads and make an educated vote.

Seems like the 1st Genner's are not supporting, not the other way around!

Yes, but this conflicts with your "we voted on #2" thing. You say you guys went that route so people can get out of their own generation forums and look at all the other 4runner's people build up. This thread has been dead for a week until TRDCal bumped it up, what's the point of sharing everyone's builds when no one even cares to view the thread when its not apart of their own generation? You guys changed the rules, and that did nothing but make T4ROTM less popular.

I see your inability to read goes well with your inability to type out a nice coherent and legible paragraph. Cursing doesn't get your point across any better than it will. I never said I didn't like T4ROTM like you so blindly claimed. I never killed any thread, as you claimed. Like I said above, this thread has been dead. Even after you claimed "the rest of us enjoy it", so before you claim I killed your precious thread. Go on and read. These new rules in place did not yield the results you guys were wanting. Oh and by "let the rest of us enjoy it", you mean the only 3 people that participated, right? Oh, the only one killing this thread is you with your anger issues. I said I participated, I made a long post full of pictures from the nominees, but you seem to have missed me saying that because of your obvious lack in reading comprehension.

Ok you win, I quit, no more ROTM....NO, it's not that easy. I'm not just going to give up because you and probably a few others are loosing/lost interest. I understand that you have the right to give your opinion but it boggles my mind that your causing this negative dispute when you don't even want to participate.

I agree, it takes minimal effort to do and people enjoy it. It's a no brainer!

Yes that was nice of you. But it would be nice if you continued with that attitude. T4ROTM will die when people stop posting and getting involved, not when people post negative things or "think that it should die".

I agree again. Majority voted so were trying it this way. Its not set in stone, who knows the adverture we could be having T4ROTM May 2013. Don't worry Huskey, I got enough positive energy to turn the haters into lovers lol. It's doesn't require too much effort and I enjoy "doing my thing" especially when people enjoy it.

Thanks for representing the 5th gens lol. I agree with you that we need build thread stickys in all the sub forums, but the 1st gens are the only forum lacking so...more on that. The first geners don't represent much because there's not many of them. But SV_Dude did make a good point that we already half a dozen plus nominees which isn't horrible.

Firstly, T4ROTM will die when I say so...lol not really, it will die when everybody looses interest and we can no longer come up with nominees from the poll. We're only in our 3rd month, it's expected to be a little rocky in the beginning. This "idea 2" isn't set in stone, but its gonna take more than a couple members to change it.

Theres other factors that your not looking at. This is first month that I didn't post a "vote/nominate now" thread in each sub forum, so that might account for some lack of participation. Also thats not the first time a nomination thread needed to be dusted off after a week of no posts. Its probably my fault I should have bumped it earlier but we had some really nice weather the past week so I had been out and about. Not to mention this it may get more popular as we progress to the more popular gens.

And I think you wrong by saying this hasn't got people out of the sub-forums. This thread was the first time I'd ever seen that Trekker and it made look thru the build thread.

Bottom line...shoot a gun, lick a pu$$y or smoke a joint. Pick you poison whatever it is, just cheer up bud, don't be so negative in a positive crowd.

NOW would it be too much to ask to get back to the nominating!:hungry:

I definitely didn't make my post to spread any sort of negative views on this. I dig it. I just thought I'd throw out some food for thought on a way that might make it a little better.

I own a 5th generation 4Runner and I am posting in this thread. Just because we don't post does not mean we don't read. I check in regularly to see if there are any more nominations. I once owned a 1984 4Runner SR5 that I bought new and drove it out of the show room so yes I have an interest. Antman is right - the 1st generation guys will probably nominate and we as observers will vote. I think this contest is a good thing, regardless of the rules.

I do have a question for you: Why do you even post? Most of us post here when we can help, not hinder a thread.

I think that T4ROTM is a great idea. If anyone disagrees i hope this happens to you>>>>> :toilet:

My two requests to TRDCal (BTW a huge thanks for doing all of this) are the following.

1. I think getting the actual voting thread up sooner would help a lot with interest. It gives more time to go through build threads and pick a favorite 4runner.

2. If we could make it a bigger deal for the winner, it would make people more excited about the T4ROTM. (maybe have the winners picture on the homepage of this site, maybe along the top for a month?)

These are just ideas and my personal opinion. These would need help from mods but i think it would be worth it for sure.

No worries man. My post was aimed more towards kkz. As I mentioned, I think its great when people give there opinons towards T4ROTM.

Alrightly, maybe ill start the poll tonight. That would give 20days of voting which is fairly long.

The only issue I see with starting the nomination thread early for example, If we start the June T4ROTM thread before the May T4ROTM thread is over, it might take some of the interest away from the May winner and everyone will just move forward with the new month. Altho having there picture up on the homepage will help.

I don't know just a thought. It's still worth a try, hopefully others will chime in too. We still have plenty of time before the end of the month.
