Tailgate Mod

Has anyone tried modifying the tailgate so it will open remotely?

(I've got an '11 TE) with lots of little mods from great suggestions on these boards.

I've actually been thinking about retrofitting the assembly from a 4th gen into a 5th gen. I like the easy close rear hatch.

This would be sweet I would defiantly be interested. IMO this is an option that should have already been available, at least on the Limited. Why Toyota didn't include it? :shrug:

You could make it work with some very very strong linear actuators, would be labor intense and time consuming but not hard.
