I was referring to Chas's reference to the 4th gen rear shock in post #12
Let me clear that up - I said go with the 24-249966 for 0-2ish, if you use the 4th/5th gen rears you need bumpstop drops. Only for the LT rear springs really.
Just an O-pinion, but of all the emulsion shocks out there I believe the 5100's are the best value. If you want to step up then go to a Fox/King/SAW remote with custom or remote valving, but stay away from the generic white can shocks (Rancho, Pro-Comp, Doetsch, etc.), and that includes OME.
That is entirely accurate. We normally do not suggest putting twin-tube shocks on a truck like the 4runner. Avoid Rancho, Cheaper procomp (the new procomp are monotube and a copy of the 5100), Ironman, etc.
It might be operator error, but I can't seem to locate the OME coils on the website. Should I call to place an order over the phone? Can I work with you directly to build an order? Also, what isolators and top hats do you recommend? I'd rather pay for new bits and take them to my local shop for pre-assembly than rent a spring compressor to save $30 on the top hats. Probably need new soft bits anyway. The 5100's come with new cushions, correct?
I prefer when people work directly with me via email or PM to build an order, that way we get it right the first time!
Here is what I put together for you as a parts list.
2x Bilstein 24-248730 Front 5100
2x Bilstein 24-249966 Rear 5100
2x OME 2880 Front Spring (1.25" Light Load)
2x OME 2906 Rear Spring (2" Medium Load)
2x KYB SM5184 - Front Strut Mount
or
2x Monroe 904900 - Front Strut Mount
2x KYB SM5413 - Front Coilspring Isolators
or
2x Energy Front Coil Spring Isolators (I would go with these)
