Tapatalk vs. Tapatalk 2

I mostly use Tapatalk on my iPhone when viewing this and other forums. It has its advantages and disadvantages (mostly the search function). Now that I've paid for this app, Tapatalk has brought out the latest version; Tapatalk 2.

I'm looking for feedback from those who have used both. I know it's only $2 or $3, but if there are no marked improvements, I won't bother getting the new version.

I would also be interested to see if anyone gets this. It's a shame there's no "free" version to test first. I know it's only $3.99, but the current app serves my purpose well so I don't see the need to change it. I'll be watching for other replies here to see if it's worth it.

It's really not a whole lot different than the original. The only reason I switched to 2 was because of the limited picture space on the original. I actually like the design better on 1 as well.

I got an email about this in the morning as I too am a v1 user. I think it said v2 is currently only available for iOS, I'm running Ice Cream Sandwich on Android so I guess I'll be happy to keep using my current version.
