TE tie down adapters

I bought a 2011 trail last August from the dealership. We're planning a last minute cross country trip so I needed roof storage. The Gobi stealth isn't a viable option because of lead time so I ordered the rocky road rack thinking it would be good for a while. After seeing posts of this setup, the search began for the TE roof rack tie down adapters.
Not realizing they came with the vehicle when I bought it, it's apparent now that I never got them. I called the dealer and they're now discontinued so even if I were willing to pay for them, I'm out of luck.
Does anyone know of a possible source or alternative?

Mega load warrior from Yakima is a good cheap option, I got one from craigslist like new for 100. Using it camping this wkd.

You might want to try another dealer. My 2012 TE (Manufactured May 2012) came with them. Tie down part number is 401863. Sticker on package says they were made on 4/25/2012. So unless they were very recently discontinued....

Just as an update for anyone who cares:
I spoke with Toyota US customer service and they confirmed the adapters are discontinued and as of now will no longer be included with new Trail models

I just bought my 2012 TE about a week and a half ago. They came with mine. You are talking about the 4 plastic hook tie downs right? They came in a plastic bag in my glove box.

Yep, then mine came with them. I'll post a picture later today or tomorrow. I just got my TE, I still have the temporary tags....

Ok, here it is. They came in 2 separate zip lock bags. 2 tie downs per bag, they were in the glove box.

First time adding a photo, hopefully I didn't screw it up.

I've got the same bag of 4 tie-downs as well with my 2012 Trail. The bag has the '401863' number, BUT on the inside of the tie-down itself, there looks to be an actual part number: PT278-89100-TD

Looking up the part, the name is "4R RF RACK TIE DOWN" with a retail price of $39.39. Hopefully that is actually for a set of 4.

Another option: The Tundra and Tacoma bed cargo management systems seem to have a rail that's nearly identical to the TE roof rack set-up.

If you're friendly with a dealer, try a set from a Tundra and see if they work, and if they do, order one of those sets.

The Taco bed cleats don't fit, the rail is different, already tried. My 2012 also came with the rack tie downs. You have to remove the rack rail end piece and slide them into place, according to the drirections. Hard to believe the 2012's are coming with them and they are showing discontinued, crazy.
