You ain't lying. It's terrible how much the price shot up for all these parts for the SC. I remember we when the nose cone kit was $200. Now it's almost $600. Supply and demand at its finest.
$342 now for the kit? That's insane, I sure wish there was some other way to get this, especially since the tensioner and pulley can be found for under $50 total. I can't justify paying that until I absolutely need it. Thanks for the info though.
So I just picked up a used SC and I think I've assembled all the parts I need to install, but am missing the correct transmission/throttle bracket for my 2000. I seem to have the 2001+ bracket. Anyone got a spare they'd be willing to part with? I'd rather not buy the whole kit from Toyota...

Can anyone post a photo of the boost guage hose routing from the back of the blower?
TRD PN: PTR29-60032
TRD DYNAMIC TENSIONER 3.4 SC PTR29-60032
Has the bracket you need and the hardware.
The tensioner alone does you no good.
The plate I cut the idler off of to see if I want to use it to still support the nose cone if I feel it's necessary, if I get everything installed and the plate looks to not be needed I'll likely throw it on the scrap metal shelf for future use.
What did you decide on the plate itself, is it still needed to support the nose cone on the 1st gen or can we ditch the whole plate when we put on the dynamic tensioner?
I ditched it. Looks like it was just the place TRD decided made sense to add the third mount to the static idler. I havent noticed any issues without it.

Does anyone have a 2nd gen SC on their car and near south orange county in California? Just for me to listen to haha so I know what it's supposed to sound like, all I have are YouTube videos. I recently rebuilt my supercharger with parts from Rolling Performance, and now it sounds worse than it did before. I replaced rotor bearings, coupler, and nose ball bearings.
At idle it sounds fine, but as soon as I shift into gear, it sounds like a diesel. And the noise sounds like it'd coming from the rotors, not the nose.
I even pulled it apart again today, checked everything out and made sure nothing was rattling around in there. Part of me thinks it's the rotors hitting the housing when under load...
Anyways, if anyone's around OC and wants to grab lunch or something one day, let me know. Or of anyone has any input on my problem, feel free to chime in.
