Does anyone know the answer to my question? We're there any changes to the ECU from 1998 to 99 plus? Will I be able to run the TRD 7th in my truck?

What are people using for an OBDII interface? I know a few are using the BR-3, which is no longer made.
One option I'm looking at is the Innovate LM-2 which is a wideband o2 controller and an OBDII interface all wrapped up into one nice handheld unit - LM-2 Wideband O2 Digital Air/fuel Ratio Meter
If I don't get that I will be running the Innovate DB wideband - DB Gauges: Air Fuel Ratio Guage
But then I would need a separate OBDII interface to mess with the fuel trims in closed loop tuning. URD sells the PLX Kiwi interfaces that can interface with the iPhone, or Innovate makes the OT-2 which can interface with iPhones as well (seems a bit better than the PLX at face value, plus the app for it looks good).
Just wanted to see if anyone had experience good or bad with any of these or another OBDII interface I didn't mention.
Good luck...let us know what you find out.
Well I just got off the phone with him and unfortunately it will not work with 98 and lower models, however they do sell just the box and I will look into that.
Gonna pick up a set of Denso Iridium IK22s soon, bc I just dont have the cash for the 7th injector at this time. Can anyone tell me if they are to be gapped the same as stock, or what the best gap is for these plugs?
I think I have everything to put this on, but I wasn't sure if I need the IAC check valve or not. Do the '01's use it? View attachment 111303
I'd like to add something here that I'd never heard of until after I got my SC. I'm no expert but a little searching revealed some info on this forum and others.
Its reducing boost by running a larger than stock pulley - 2.65" - on the SC as a means to reduce/eliminate pinging. This pulley was available from TRD as a warranty item but they quit making it along with the SC. There are varying reports of success but some people claim to have eliminated pinging by running the larger pulley, colder plugs, and colder t-stat.
I know the point of the SC is getting more power and its a bit counter intuitive to de-tune it. However, I thought it was worth mentioning here just to help people know what their options are. Personally, I'm considering this option as a means of protection for my engine until I can afford the URD kit.

I posted this in another thread I started but I thought the information and question could be helpful and realevent to this thread...
In the supercharge sticky thread the info states;
1 3/8” Vacuum Plug Intake Silencer Plug
1 Vacuum Hose – ½” X 34” long Connects Air Tube to Cam cover
1 Vacuum Hose - 3mm x 9" long Connects Vacuum Throttle Opener to Intake Manifold
1 Vacuum Hose - 3mm x 5" long Connects Vacuum Throttle Opener to Intake Manifold
1 Vacuum adapter tee - 5/16"x5/16"x1/4"
The problem is NAPA, O'reillys, or pepboys don't carry the vacuum hose in the 3mm (3/32") size.. OR, the 5/16x5/16x1/4 tee. However, I did find vacuum line that is 2.8mm and a tee that has a few sizes stepping up from 1/8 to 3/8.
Anyone know if this will work? If not, where else should I look for these specialty sizes?
Who's going to be the first supercharger geek to get one of these? Supercharger 1gr FE V6 TRD Tacoma Prado Land Cruiser 5VZ FE Tundra Hilux TYT044 | eBay
When installing a supercharger is the URD 5VZ-FE Pre Set AFR Calibrator II worth $200?
Is it a waste if a 2.2 pulley is installed?
Are there any other goodies such as URD goodies that you wish you had just started with?
