What are the opinions on the bolt finish ? As in stainless would obviously be ideal but what about zinc ? stainless is out of stock and the kits that Trd sends out look as if they are yellow zinc and not stainless.

The ones that come with the supercharger are zinc coated I believe. At least that's what comes with the 2nd Gen superchargers.

What are your afrs looking like at wot?

and how in ****s sake did ya get the ultra gauge to give you lambda!?

i dont know i have not punched it yet.

i dont know i just found the front a/f sensor as it scanned at start up and found the reading. so i just put it on that page.

i know some vehicle have that option with that a/f reading being cali emission or something. but idk much more than that, im not really sure what its telling me other than my front a/f is working, then when i got my p1301 code or something like that the number was in like 1.3 or higher.

what ug model do you have? mine should work since it is a 2000 and they were all cali leagel that year

that is the afr! lol if you multiply by 14.7 it will match exactly to what your afr gauge says. Pretty much means for me i can hold off on buying an afr gauge until i upgrade my fueling if i can get my ug to tell me that!

God that would have been nice to know!

yeah so my wide band is telling me i run anywhere in between 14.2 and 15.2 in rare occasions. on steady boost im around 14.6,7,8

For boost that is pretty damn lean... Idk I am shooting for 11.4 ish at wot. 14-15 while at idle or cruising is fine though.

For tuning our setups here is a very good read:

It may not have all the answers but it is definitely a start.

Yeah, that's stupid lean. Unless by steady boost you mean just accelerating on the freeway sort of boost and still in closed loop. If you floor it you want more like 12's, less if you want to be safe.

And yes I mean zinc-coated.

does it matter that im sitting at about 5,500 ft? ive also jst have the stock pulley 2.37" but still. i know numbers are numbers but i dont hear any pinging.

No you won't get pinging necessarily but you're losing a lot of power by not being able to advance the timing. By richening the AFR's you can not only get more power from the fuel mix, you also gain power by being able to run more timing advance. ECU does this normally, but if you have the 7th injector kit I think you can adjust timing? Or is the 7th injector not on your rig yet?

And yes elevation would matter, actually reduces ping and such from what I've heard.

its not installed yet. so my current afr are even around 14.5 at all conditions.

ok so im thinking to be making the 7th injector install soon. but the 7th injector only woks or turns on under boost. how can i lower my afrs under light loads or normal driving before boost?

elevation has absolutely nothing to do with it. The afr is basically an absolute reading and elevation wont affect it like it does your air coming in to the system. If you are running that lean you might not hear the pinging (it's not as loud as some say it is, especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust), but with those afr's your motor still is not happy.

As i said earlier idle and light loads a safe afr is anywhere between 12-16, when boost isn't being made or there is no load on the motor your cylinder pressures are lower than under heavy load ie boost. Pinging and eventual engine damage cannot occur in low load (barring some major system failure) because the fuel will typically not ignite out of time under these conditions.

and of course lol....

ok, 7th injector installation and tuning time it is...

I'm posting this while at work and with minimal searching I didn't find an answer.
I have the dynamic tensioner and the past few weeks I have noticed my volts dropping on my scangauge. I went and had both alt and bat tested and they checked out. Not to mention I do not get any lights for battery draining.

I belive my problem is the belt slipping on my alt pully because when I installed the SC I do not think I adjusted the tension at the alt bracket. Just threw the dynamic tensioner on and called it good. My question is, is there a proper tension or certain angle the alt should be mounted at?
