okay so i called dealer to see price on a nose cone... i literally fell on my ass after they gave me a price 1200 msrp and 821 my cost. so i called the source. cost from magnuson. $275.00 for nose cone $66.00 for pulley. i would much rather pay that and spend the left over to but rebuild parts and salvage this nose cone as a spare.

Been a couple of these recently. No doubt the pulley most likely is toast. But check the key, key hole in the pulley, and the shaft. Once the key hole eggs out it can chew up the key, and worst case the shaft. A new woodruff key is relatively easy to replace, and you should replace it with the new pulley. If the shaft is out of tolerance (machinist can tell you), you'll need to rebuild the nose cone with a new shaft. Before you spend the loot, check those items out for out of tolerance. When you re-install you'll also need to make sure the nut seats against the pulley, and everything is snug. The high rpms will quickly destroy the pulley if anything is off. Hope this helps.

You might check ebay too. I'm in the exact same boat as you, so I've been looking at options as well. Let me know what you find is the cheapest

That's a good price for a new nose cone. I'd jump on that. I got one off a forum member but unused, but was unlucky and the seal leaked. I paid $200 I think.

I bought it. Magnuson lead time is 5-7 days before it ships. I rather throw on a new one from magnuson since they make the blower. Cost to rebuild a nose cone is almost as much as a new one. Might as well get a new nose cone and see if I can rebuild the old one on my spare time as a back up.

no this is for the gen 4 black blower. the parts to the 1st gen blose i believe are discontinued.

I was just reading over the Magnuson warranty and because my truck has more than 36,000 miles and over three years old, I don't qualify for the warranty! See below.


ELIGIBILITY
In order for a vehicle to be eligible for the Magnuson Products, LLC limited powertrain warranty.
 The vehicle must have less than 36,000 miles on the odometer and the Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System
must be installed within 3 years of the original in-service (purchase) date as determined by the manufacturer of the vehicle
e.g. OASIS, GMVIS, Dealer Connect.
 The vehicle must be equipped with a Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System. Please visit the Magnuson
Products LLC webpage for a complete list of eligible Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger Systems by part
number/application.
 The vehicle must be legally registered & insured by the applicant named on this Limited Powertrain Warranty, Terms &
Activation document.
 The installation of the Magnuson Products, LLC Supercharger System must be conducted by: a certified new car
dealership, a certified Magnuson Products, LLC installer, or by an automotive service technician certified by the Institute
for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as an automotive repair facility with a valid business license.

Did this today finally with my free time. Been meaning to tackle this for awhile to match the 3.4 swap and supercharger while keeping a factory vibe under the hood.

I guess if anyone wants one I can work on printing some out.

Couple things to note:

#1 I'm just using shipping label sticker paper that I print on and then use Kinkos to laminate. So I have no idea of the overall longevity. Seems good, but time and heat will tell

#2 since my truck is a 2nd gen and 99% of people with the 3.4 are 3rd gens, I need to move some stuff around, such as "4wd VSV's" since on a 3rd gen those are on the driver side.

#3 if anyone who has a similar level of anal retentivity as me does actually want one, to keep it correct to your vehicle I'd need the 5 digit code in the bottom left and 2 letter code in bottom right. For mine, I just made them up since it's all uncharted for me.

Devil is in the details.

And if you don't think it's that cool, go pop your hood and check out your current label... Doesn't do the system justice!

Ok sweet! When you get serious let me know. (Also take a peek at those 2 bottom corners of your current sticker and give me those numbers/letters, so I can keep it accurate)

I don't have a timeframe yet. Been crazy around here. Still tweaking with it too to get it just right as well.

Good luck when you get the supercharger! They are fun as hell I think. Update us!

Oh right! I did forget that there are some changes in the later years. The charcoal canister is in the back on the later models right? I'll tell you what, if someone wants to just send me a picture of their current label I will emulate it as best I can.

I guess there will be a few different versions. My final version for mine is just about done. Added a couple things, tweaked a little more. I'm debating on reworking it to include the "Air Assist System" which is the T hose in the back that the check valve gets installed into. Issue is it starts to look a little chaotic with all that jumbled in there. I guess I can make it an option if people are interested.

Sooo major sticker OCD warning ahead...

Laminated what I thought was final copy for my truck... Then I kept thinking. On the right one I added the K&N logo as well as a cutaway/zoom in type deal for that fancy check valve behind the SC.

Any opinions on which is better? Doesn't really matter, but I'm a stickler for details. And technically the right one is more complete and accurate.

Anyway, if anyone gets serious about it I can tweak any which way within reason. But I'm currently torn on which level of detail to follow.

Yeah I agree. Going with this as FINAL design for a 2nd gen, 4wd, 3.4, S/C'd, early model EVAP.
